The code might be important. Try with an absolute path to see if maybe its a problem with relative paths?

Maybe, we should recover it if possible and move it onto cemetech's wiki. Do they even have an fx9860 section?

I don't mean to start any arguments, but why don't we use cemetech's? I'd think it would be better not to split up the information across multiple sources

Math and Science / Re: Trig Substitution
« on: January 24, 2013, 10:21:38 pm »
You use SineOppositeHypotenuse CosineAdjacentHypotenuse TangentOppositeAdjacent
If you subsituted sine in you need to solve for it in terms of x. Then you phrase it as a fraction (if its not a fraction just put a 1 under it). Then match sides using the trig functions. (Opposite top, Hypotenuse bottom for sine) draw a triangle and solve it in terms of x. You can then substitute that into any trig function to solve for it in terms of x. If you want an example I can work one out later.

hello, im having some trouble with java terminology and it would be greatly appriciated if someone could help me define any of the terms they know
extends
interface
excapsulation
package
fields

thank you
I haven't used java in forever so I might be wrong on some of these, but this is what I think I remember.

extends is how java does inheritance. When you say one class extends another you say that it inherits from it. I can't remember what exactly it takes from the parent class though.

I believe an interface is one level below a class. It is a basic setup for a class that tells you what must be in any class that implements(or maybe extends I don't remember which term it is) it. It is used to be able to assure that multiple classes will have the members and methods you need for a task.

excapulation I don't even remember having heard before sorry.

A package is usually something that you can include/import into your program to get all of the classes and methods defined in it.

fields can have lots of meanings so I'm not sure what its asking for here.

Welcome, I'm a bit of a math nerd and we have a few other people who love math. You should be able to find the answer to any questions you have. If you decide to start programming you can also find lots of help for that here.

I haven't heard of free NAS, but that was the kind of thing I was looking for. I couldn't find any for the price range I had so I decided to try and build my own which ended with me deciding on the above computer. Money is a little tight right now so this probably won't happen for a few months if it stays at ~400.

I will probably be getting it. I'm ruler501 on desura.

EDIT: I bought it, played the first four level and then died on the fifth. This is a really fun game. I left my ice cream to melt to play it :P
Also I'd love co-op at some point.

BUMP: Anyone have any ideas for this? I'm sure there are better ways to do it then what I came up with.

That is one I was looking at, but its a little high for my price. I have no parts sitting around that would work for this unfortunately

EDIT: for this I would use intel's ability to have different parts of the hard drive have different RAM setup's. I'd have RAID0 for the OS and RAID1 for the rest of the data

Computer Usage and Setup Help / Home Server
« on: January 20, 2013, 09:52:22 pm »
My parents want me to find a way to setup a server in our house that will connect to the network and allow us to back up all of our home computers(about 2tb of data) for under $400. I would also like to be able to use it as a testing webserver, but thats just if I can for the price.
What would you recommend for that price range? The main priorities are keeping the data safe and allowing some revision history and keeping the budget as low as possible. I can build it myself if its just parts and setup.
Thanks in advance for any help
