is taking away a Disp/[newline] and then adding a ,/" really an optimisation?

coolio!
the character sprites might need a little work, but i'm loving the grayscale! it looks like you're definitely able to pull this off. good luck! 1278

WOOT!
scrolling is a fun beast to handle. i like the way this looks. are you re-drawing the entire screen every frame? one line at a time is the easiest way to optimise this type of thing, and one pixel at a time, as this seems to be, is pretty straight-forward. oh, and dont think that nobody cares about things. this is one of the most promising ideas i've seen in some time! 1279

both of these sound cool to me!
sometimes people just read the threads, nod and smile a little, and then move on to the next thread, waiting to post until there is a finished product, but that definitely doesn't mean nobody cares. 1280

=D
Quote from: dj I wonder if you could maybe store the two sprite rows/columns layers in L1 or another SafeRAM area and when scrolling the two game buffers, you simply copy/conj that data in L3 and L6 instead of recalling the tilemapper every frame while scrolling? Not sure if this would be hard to achieve, though, as I didn't try.i think that might actually work well, but only for vertical scrolling. ima test this out, dj! 1281

SWEET!
i love the title screen and simply cannot wait to see what else you come up with. i am also reminded slightly of miegakure, a four dimensional platformer. 1285

that would have been nice to know...
thanks squidget ^_^ unfortunately, my father just walked in the door, and he freaks if i plug a calculatron into the computer, so it will be a little bit until i can upload it. it is, however, 100% done and (as far as i know) bug free 1286

hokay, i decided to clean up and submit this to the archive today, but there is one problem...
no matter what i do i can't seem to ensure that the randomly generated columns added to the top always contain at least one marble. here's the code i am currently using to create a randomly generated list of 1's and 0's which always contains at least one 1 :0->θ :Repeat θ :For(L,o,3 :rand^2->{L+L1}+θ->θ :End :End does anyone know why this is failing? 1288

well, i suppose a wait will allow for more time to read things on the forums and generally become more acquainted, thus resulting in a better end product, but still...
ima join in on the prodding ![]() good luck with whatever it may be that is making you too busy for side-projects! 1290

ah, so the barracks is smaller than usual, that's probably why i didn't recognise it...
oh, and dj: i have not played starcraft in a year (ever since my father killed XP and i had to do a clean install i haven't been able to install any games.) i will definitely get back into it at least some during college, however. |
