Hmm this keyboard looks nice but it looks like it lacks a couple modifiers and a numpad. Also I guess it's mechanical ?
there's nothing on a full sized keyboard (apart from pause/play/forward/backwards media buttons, i guess) that this one can't do. having the F# keys be secondary functions of the # keys is a little annoying sometimes, but all the other combinations (fn+[, /, ;, ' for up, down, left, and right, for example) are actually a lot easier. the switches are topres; they're capacitive, and use a combination of a higher quality rubber dome and a conical spring to avoid the "mushiness" of standard rubber dome keyboards and the "clickiness" of mechanicals.

the 770 only gives something like a 15% performance increase over the 760 for a full $120 dollars more (68% price increase). i'd go with the lower one and just wait for "the next big thing" to roll around. if you're using three monitors, though, that extra bit of performance may be worth it.

If you are getting a MicroATX motherboard, there's no point in getting a larger ATX case, get a microatx case like this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811163223
that graphics card is very big, though. i just got the 760 version, and it was long enough to necessitate removing my extra three HDD bays (and that was with a particularly large microATX case), so, if you need lots of space for disk drives, a larger case is a good idea. it can also help out a bit with airflow. and yeah, as of right now the 770 is $20 off over at newegg. as for the keyboard, if you're looking to play games, you might want to try something with reds. they don't have all the "clickiness" of other switches which is nice for the sustained key presses games often require.

yes, that's what i thought you meant. you can create an OS string variable and store text into it fairly easy from within Axe using the method i linked to. if you do it right, it will be just like any other os string which you can recall that way.

an os string to be recalled outside the program? that's a simple problem that's been solved several times now. it's much simpler to handle it in Axe than it would be to launch a basic program and pass things back and forth. check out this external variables tutorial that Finale wrote a while ago for a quick overview. if you have any more questions, feel free to ask =). and dj, the site search is working again and gave lots of relevant info for me when i used it just now =)

before you start doing something messy like this, what exactly is the problem you're trying to get around that you think will be easier to manage in basic than in axe?

you should write half of it in the top left corner and the other half along the right side. that seems like the best use of space, seeing as the screen is wider than it is tall and the font taller than it is wide

the bitmap command will work, but displaying as a group of sprites should be faster, so if speed is required just deal with cating them together.

^agreed =)
a thing about your gif, though: it doesn't make any sense for the slime's body to snap up at its apex there and then drop back down. it would either stay down the whole time or snap up on the way down and stay up until it lands.

it seems to me that, because it requires additional hardware drivers, portability wouldn't be possible
