TI Z80 / Re: [AXE] input routine.« on: February 10, 2013, 04:17:57 pm »
sharing this around could be very helpful to people. it'd be nice to have a decent, standard input routine out there (although it would also lead to people being lazy and not actually reading how it works --> not adding features or making changes that would be beneficial for the specific situation).

Other Calculators / Re: Help with recording calc screen« on: February 09, 2013, 07:44:07 pm »
another easy way to do it would be to just open the gif in gimp and resize it FIRST before converting to avi. just image->scale image, and make sure to set interpolation to "none".

Computer Projects and Ideas / Re: Raspberry Pi : What should I do with it ?« on: February 08, 2013, 11:31:44 pm »
that's still the most obvious thing to do with it. hopefully there will be more gpio lcd drivers appearing soon, as that would make putting together portable devices etc a lot more simple. i've seen a few in the works here and there, but it's still too early for most things.

The Axe Parser Project / Re: Features Wishlist« on: February 03, 2013, 02:41:05 pm »
if you want to take single frame screenshots, then an easy method would be to copy the contents of the screen buffer into a Pic variable (or into two, if you want greyscale). if you want animated screenshots on calc, then both limitations of storage and the amount of processing power required would make it not feasible.
for the +→ idea, that might actually be nice =) * shmibs throws in a backing vote

The Axe Parser Project / Re: Features Wishlist« on: February 02, 2013, 09:57:47 pm »
his code isn't wrong; it's just unnecessary. this suggestion seems a bit pointless, though. putting aside any easily typable character would confuse people as well as making it necessary to have THAT be inserted as a number value, and using a non-easily typed character wouldn't be helpful.
as for triangles, what would you want that for? 295
Other / Re: How do you make 2.5 mm to 2.5 mm link cable?« on: January 30, 2013, 11:04:16 am »
if you have money, just buy one (no need for it to be the official thing. any 2.5mm male to 2.5mm male cable will do). if you don't, you're a bit out of luck, unless you are incredibly dexterous or have plastic moulding equipment

tileIt! / Re: dev thread« on: January 30, 2013, 04:32:51 am »
i finally got around to updating this again.
Added: the tan button will now swap the front and back buffers of all the tiles in the tileset, enabling people to export either one (whichever is in front when the export is called) to options like "Set to Pic" which only allow monochrome. an icon which appears in the top left corner of the screen when the colour depth is changed, indicating the new number of levels. Changed: several bugs fixed various minor speed improvements. hopefully it won't be slow enough to annoy anyone now. the controls have been modified to be more intuitive. switching the currently selected tile forwards/backwards is now handled with Graph/Trace, so the right thumb doesn't have to be moving back and forth constantly while editing. changing colour depth has been moved to ^, and reset all to . this may very well be the last test release before the new version is all official and things, so test it out and try to find some bugs! 297

wow, that's pretty cool =D
how long is the delay between keypresses? does it just execute every single time the hook is called? 299

if you have good enough hardware to manage it, emulating ps2 games at full screen resolution (particularly things like Shadow of the Colossus) looks beautiful, too.
