ooh, fancy! is there a "just standing still" one yet? that's one thing i noticed was missing in leafy's last demo.

this is an 84+se on 2.43 and this is odd. it always works over the 2.0 port, but sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't over 3.0. when it fails, it's timing out. i'm using a longer than normal (about 2 metres) usb-mini usb cable to connect, if that makes a difference.

thanks! it works =D oh, and is there any reason why this shouldn't work over usb 3.0 ports? detecting the device and listing files both function, but receiving returns an error unless i plug it in a 2.0 port.

i can't get it to build under 64 bit arch. it fails to compile libticables:
make[2]: Entering directory `/root/lpg/tilp/libticables/tests' /bin/sh ../libtool --tag=CC --mode=link gcc -g -O2 -D__LINUX__ -fvisibility=hidden -o test_ticables_2 test_ticables_2.o ../src/libticables2.la libtool: link: gcc -g -O2 -D__LINUX__ -fvisibility=hidden -o .libs/test_ticables_2 test_ticables_2.o ../src/.libs/libticables2.so ../src/.libs/libticables2.so: undefined reference to `usb_error_type' ../src/.libs/libticables2.so: undefined reference to `usb_debug' ../src/.libs/libticables2.so: undefined reference to `usb_error_str' collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status make[2]: *** [test_ticables_2] Error 1 make[2]: Leaving directory `/root/lpg/tilp/libticables/tests' make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1 make[1]: Leaving directory `/root/lpg/tilp/libticables' make: *** [all] Error 2
i thought this may have something to do with the warning in the script that not using libusb 1.0 may cause things to fail, but it appears that i have libusb-1.0.so.0.1.0 installed. what else could be the problem here?

what parts of the OS would you want to remove?

that does look pretty fantastic! obviously, using a standing still sprite when he's not moving but the other thing i noticed was that his sprite doesn't change if he's against the wall and jumps up. * shmibs thinks that using a "jumping and facing towards the wall" sprite when he's moving upwards rather than down would look a little better.

it's x86-64 right now, they all use Atoms or Celerons, from what i've seen. these things are garbage. they come with signed os only "functionality," so you have to jump through a bunch of hoops just to get anything else to run on them, and, even if you manage that, the hardware isn't good for much of anything.
EDIT: wikipedia says that the upper end is 450 USD, and has a 1.3GHz dual-core Intel Celeron 867[20] and 16 gigs SSD. with hardware and pricings like that, basically the only conceivable reason to get one would be to watch netflix things while staying away from wondows/OSX, and netflix has nothing worth watching any more, anyways.

coolio! hopefully this will help some people unify their guis and save space for more important code at the same time.

yesyesyesyesYES!!!! like art, though, i'm more a fan of the heavily rhythm-based stuff. if you happen to be a sucker for both anime and jazz, then gogogo and check out Sakamichi no Apollon, the latest thing Shinichiro Watanabe has directed. even if you don't like anime, it's worth it just to skip through and watch the beautifully animated jazz sessions. if you're looking for something more recent that takes swing rhythms and instruments and mixes them with electronics (which is, basically, a perfect thing for me =D), then you should check out Caravan Palace. unlike all the other "electro-swing" people, like pavrov stellar (or whatever his name is) who don't have a real feel for swing, these guys have it down!

it's great to see you doing things again, leafy =D and 15 is a must; leaving it at 6 for as long as possible is always a good idea, though, so you don't get lazy and end up making it slower than it could be

it's possible, and it should be easy enough to manage in lua, even if you add in all the fancy effects =) thepenguin, do you have the level data for these in a readable format so it would ease the process?

ooh, are you going to be using it for direct linking between calcs?

what command are you using to actually draw the textures? it looks reminiscent of line clipping problems.
EDIT: are texture edges moving to negative values past your viewing window/camera position?

if you want feedback from people, then it's usually a good idea to include a screenshot or two, or at least offer a more complete description. =)
