this looks like it might be what you'll need:

it looks pretty great =)
the gui is still a bit blurry, though, probably because of the arbitrary resizing stuffs.
here's a screenshot:
oh, and it doesn't seem to come with any skins, so you can use this quick 84+ one to test it out and then make your own with skinedit and this collection of calc images from tiplanet. just make sure that images you use have no alpha channel or the program will crash.

Site Feedback and Questions / Re: Deletion of PTTKiller topics
« on: June 08, 2012, 04:20:38 am »
Will the topic content themselves be re-instated? I remember there was a policy of not deleting posts even if they are rude, except lines of text, links and files explaining how to or allowing cheating or illegal content, but maybe that has changed recently?

My suggestion (although it's up to the new administration) would be to screen the topic so that any attachment or text explaining how to cheat gets edited out, and that if there is any offensive comments that breaks the rules, that if the author of those posts don't want to tarnish his reputation among members that might see it, then they are free to edit or delete them themselves. Of course now they're spared from negative ratings though so they don't have to worry about their total post rating dropping every month like before.

Back in 2008 I instated that policy so that while free speech is limited here, what you post won't get censored and you only face the consequences if any. But of course if that's different now then to me it's OK since the active staff are doing what they feel that is the best for Omnimaga.

returning them was only in question because the entire subject matter of both topics was cheating on tests. they have been returned now, though.

the topics weren't deleted; they were just moved to a subforum where they are not accessible to others. the attachments are definitely not going to be returned, as we do cannot condone academic dishonesty, but the topics may or may not be returned.

good luck finishing it up on time.

Doors has problems, seemingly at random, when editing programs from the archive. i've had programs simply disappear and things like that before as well because of it. just clear your ram and then you can use archudel to recover anything that has been in your archive since your last garbage collect.

hoffa, flaming, intolerance, and provocative comments are not tolerated. as it stands, i will be bringing up your last few posts with the others, and anything else of this nature will result in an insta-ban.

as for academic dishonesty, omnimaga does not condone it in any way, and i will be bringing this matter up as well.

in the meantime, please try to be mature from this point forwards. thank you =)

well, you could have one of these :P

what i meant to ask, though, was whether you used images as a basis, which it looks like you did.

oh dear X.X

all i said is that my oncalc app does just about exactly what yours is supposed to do, so transferring data between the two with appvars wouldn't be difficult. i store tilesets in an appvar that nothing but data, 8*8, tile by tile, and can have up to 256, and maps are stored with the very first byte indicating the map's width in tiles, and then map data, row by row, with a maximum width and height of 128 each.

LOL
I finally got xlib working properly so i'm gonna start ASAP, but don't know if this is gonna be my official contest idea, cause i'm probably working together with soronume

collaboration on your contest entries is not allowed. only one person per entry, please. also, make sure you avoid sharing too much of your code when asking people for help, using general questions instead.

wabbitemu doesn't require installation. it's a single executable. where are you getting it from? try here.

hmm, that control layout seems a bit awkward. maybe a dual arrowpad setup would work better? something like this:
left/right: rotate
up/down: move forward, back
alpha/stat: strafe left-right
mode/apps: strafe up-down
xt<theta>n: shoot

and how much larger did the LUT make it?

edit: oh, and i really like how this is turning out. it's the type of game that could be fantastic with good ai =)
