mumble is lightweight? i've never been able to run it on anything without big load spikes. even on my haswell i7 it runs at about 4% cpu utilisation.

yeah, overclocking is basically the only difference. the newer haswell xeons don't have hyperthreading either, though, i don't think, so that might be something you'd care about.

That is called discrimination. More seriously: you have just crossed the line into harassment yourself, despite receiving multiple hints from other members that you should stop. enjoy your temporary ban and feel free to come back in a few days when you cool down a bit. EDIT: also, at Levak and Hayleia, getting angry in response to someone only makes things worse. 81

please do not make duplicate topics. your poll could have been added to the previous topic, or you could have at least indicated that this was a poll by using a different thread title.

TI Z80 / Re: Bad Apple SE« on: December 18, 2013, 12:30:36 am »
yeah, there are crystal timers on all the 15MHZ models (83+SE and the 84+ variants). if it's only at 6MHZ right now, there should be plenty of extra cycles to handle timing things, too =)

i know it's because the original is monochrome, but this is the best looking thing i've ever seen on an 83/4 screen =D

News / Contest 2013 - Results (finally)« on: December 15, 2013, 12:48:13 am »![]() Hey Everyone! We apologise for how long it took, but the results are finally in and tallied. If you need a quick reminder, this year's competition was exclusively for the monochrome TI 83+/84+ series of calculators. we had two categories:
Each entry in both categories was then judged in two ways: by a team of staff acting as judges (according to the criteria listed here), and via a forum public vote. The results from both sections were then determined by adding the results of each. Prizes will be awarded to the top three entries in each category (as per described here). Now, without further ado, here are our three winners from each category! Axe/Assembly/Hybrid BASIC
Pure BASIC
And that's it! A hearty congratulations to our winners as well as a big thank you to everyone who participated; We hope to see you all again next year! I've attached the full results below if you want to see who placed where and for what reasons in more detail. EDIT: If the winners would please PM geekboy1011 their addresses, he will handle shipping you your prizes! |
