ooh, i like this idea! i've mostly just shied away from the Doors gui in favour of running things the noshell way, but this adds all the other features i would possibly boot into the gui for (mostly just renaming and copying, but i think i could find a use for the new command as well.) i would definitely try this out, and, most likely, use it regularly.

firstly: 4: The only time double-posting is allowed (posting two messages in a row in the same topic) is either if there has been 6 hours since your last post, 3 hours if your thread has been bumped out of the New Posts page, 1 hour if it's a project update or immediately if you need to upload more than 10 file attachments at once. Otherwise, update the last post using the "EDIT" button. It will be marked as unread for all members (altough it won't bump the thread). secondly: that map looks fantastic. i approve =D thirdly: as has been asked, what language do you intend to use to write this sidescroller? oh, and yes, there are people here who minecraft.

i don't see the point, as group video costs moneys and there are better alternatives for audio. however, my username is... shmibs.

i did all that for everything up until 7th grade. it most certainly can have social downsides; there was not a single person in my age group who lived in our neighbourhood, and the group type things we had would meet once a month at most, meaning i was practically raised in that area by books.

oh my, their blazing fast processor has the power to match tech from six years ago? phones are smaller than consoles, and thus will never be able to manage the same things unless they are significantly more expensive(assuming the consoles aren't horrendously overpriced). sure, it can manage the same things as a 360, but what about the next line of devices that will be showing up soon?

wows, even i can see what's going wrong there. brandonw does have a point, but they should have at least looked back through it afterwards and cleaned it up.

the most important aspects for a point and click type adventure are unexpected humour, fantastic puzzle elements, changing scenery (so a single area can look multiple different ways), and a completely original story/ambience. these are all reasons that The Neverhood is the greatest point and click adventure ever made, and, if it weren't so short, would be the greatest game of all time. Machinarium is also good at all of these, though to a slightly lesser extent.

my younger brother does nonstop, and it's a bit disappoint. i keep trying to get him to do something productive with his time.

on my campus, i saw everything from vodka to cocaine. it was mostly a core group of idiots in my class and the one below it (a couple of whom got caught and kicked out), but there were instances of 9th graders drinking and things like that, too. it's actually kind of amusing to see people dressed like this: selling drugs to one another

I know I can do that, I just haven't yet. And I'm also still getting used to Ubuntu, and need to find a simple graphics editor I'm comfortable with.
yeah, that was a big issue for me, too. i went through a huge list, but none of them had the same feel as classic mspaint xp. well... a few did, but they kept crashing, for some reason. maybe Xpaint would work? you can get the latest package as a .deb at the bottom of this page: http://packages.debian.org/unstable/graphics/xpaint

I'm staying hyped! Now I need to import Eeem's sheet to my Ubuntu install so I don't need to boot back into Windows to finish it.
why would you need to boot back into windows to look at the file? if you're dual booting, can't you just open all the wondows files from the linux side?

ash, how does this go about rendering its maps? it seemed to take a while for the PRIZM's fancy pants hardware, so i thought you must be doing something fancypants yourself and wanted to ask before looking at the source.

well, firstly, you need a TI 83+, 83+ SE, 84+, 84+ SE, or an nSpire with an 84+ emulator. then, once the program has been transferred to your model of calculator, you need to use the asm( token, which can be found easily through the catalogue menu on these models, in conjunction with the program name as follows: asm(prgmPROGRAM
