i converted them all into individual avi's, if you'd rather have that (except for three of them. the three gifs that were made by that one exe on ticalc that records a portion of a selected window. the one that made the screen's background gray rather than white or green. they are the two bbc gifs in 2009 and builderboy's factory in 2010. it should be easy to convert them with virtualdub, though. just open it and select save as avi. it's probably just wine that made them come out wonky.). oh, and i included my two games in the 2010 and 2011 folders. i hope you don't mind? here: http://ubuntuone.com/p/1CSU/EDIT: i didn't convert all of them; only the animated files. should i have done them all?

this is an old file, for anyone who doesn't remember it. i was just moving it to the "our projects" section and it decided to make a new thread EDIT: oh, and 'screenshit' has been around for a while. here is the earliest occurence of it on the forums i can find.

the best virus protection is, obviously, to never use windows or mac. this won't take care of everything, but the vast majority of viruses are exclusive to those two operating systems.
the second best virus protection is to use a well constructed browser with flash blocking and other such abilities enabled. that way you can avoid client side scripting that traps you in endless popup loops or automatically saves and executes things on your computer.
the third best virus protection is to not be stupid in your browsing. don't click links randomly or jump to sites without checking them out beforehand.
the fourth best virus protection is antivirus software. if you take the measures above it really isn't needed, and virus software does take up quite a bit of your computer's resources. if you absolutely cannot go without it, though, then avast is what i would suggest, with malwarebytes for when things may get out of hand.

there are a few ways to batch convert gif to avi in linux (mencoder, ffmpeg, etc). if you uploaded the lot of them in an archive i could take a shot at it, if you want.
oh, and thanks for the tip, deep thought; i just successfully put FailFlush in the our files section. =D

um... so if we were not in those positions when the files were uploaded, and thus they were uploaded in different places, they are not to be included? i haven't actually released anything yet since i was made a CoT...

/\i've gotten that error once or twice as well. the second time i try to compile it always works, though.
are the draw to arbitrary buffer operations not working in 1.02? Pt-on(0,0,L1) Pxl-on(0,0,L1) pxl-Test(0,0,L1) all work on the front buffer rather than L1 do i have to manually enter the address to saveScreen? i didn't think so, because Dispgraph(L1) works just fine.

4*4 is usually better for action games, particularly when there is no scrolling.

really, sir? =/
just because someone is "wrong" in his opinion (i.e. has been misled by society into thinking a certain way) does not mean you should act like an ass to him. (oh, and no offence, Eeems/anyone who may feel that what i'm saying violates his belief system. i'm just speaking out of what i, personally, believe to be true here.) in fact, if you really want to do something about all the superstition and mythology that is still so prevalent in today's world, the best way to go about it would be the exact opposite approach. personal attacks and insults do nothing but push people away and make them more adamant in what they believe and less willing to take the view of a sceptic and a scientist. the only way to teach people is if they are willing to learn, and students certainly don't listen to teachers whom they cannot respect. the proper approach is to build bridges rather than burning them, approaching cordially and sharing what you know so that others can benefit from that knowledge in the same way you have.
i hope you finish up Knight OS and would definitely still like to see you around every now and then, be it in #cemetech or anywhere else. good luck with life, sir!

here's my current desktop. at the moment, i'm fangirling over wakfu (a french mmorpg/show). whenever i start customising things i take them as far as possible, changing backgrounds, icon sets, xsplash images, and everything else i can possibly manage to make them fit the theme. right now, the icon in the top left corner there is the only ubuntu logo/icon that appears at any point during the operating system's bootup/running/shutdown. oh, and i set my log in page to slowly fade into the game's intro music if left sitting for a bit EDIt:oh, and i made a matching firefox persona as well https://www.getpersonas.com/en-US/persona/420574

i use it on my fuze as well, and agree with travis' reasons. additionally, writing themes for things is so much fun =D
EDIT: oh, and it means i don't have to worry about what format my music files are because it plays whatever i throw at it. i also used it to watch hours and hours of doctor who a couple years ago because i had no proper computer.

@butts: we have been already, so yes? i can help on the axe side as well. tilemappers are easy enough for me to set up. we can both work on plot stuff as well.
EDIT: i was just going off of the zelda games because, as i've said before, they have my favourite sprites out of any game. if you would rather they be different, though, that's doable. this doesn't need to be some official omni rpg, though. i just thought it would be fun to work on something with other people, so i don't think it matters that much.
