i dont have a lot of time atm, so i only did three(and they could do with some improvement) but for what they're worth here are a noble sword, iron shield, and harp

this seems oddly similar to braid...

regardless, if you can pull this off it should be amazing. good luck!

axe never ceases to impress me
i got the new version just before my recent net 'reprieve', and had plenty of chance to mess around with the new features. i hope to use the grayscale routine i made in my axe entry

keep up the awesome work, i cant wait!

looks awesome so far!
a couple questions about gameplay:
A is the jump height fixed or dynamic depending on the jump button hold time
B it looks as if this "ball" is always spinning; are you forced to move forwards when you hit the ground or do you only move with the arrow keys

glad to see the problems solved. if you ever have to do this kind of thing again and cant just draw back over everything with tiles it's easy enough to split the data amongst the smaller Ls using the copy function and just avoid text drawing/archiving or whatever

this whole thing is pretty incrediculous...

yeah, it doesnt change at all except for when the doors open and close, so there really is no need to :) I just have it stored in the backbuffer.  The buttons modify the backbuffer when needed

do you use copy(L6+n,L3+n,"portion of the backbuffer to be sent to the buffer here", or simply copy the whole thing?

*whew*
* shmibs gives a relieved sigh

that was pretty scary for a bit, but i'm glad to hear that you're still working on stuff, even if it's only temporarily
you've been a huge influence in my own programming "history" even if i only just joined the forum and i've never released any major projects. your musics especially have been a huge help; i listen while programming and it helps me focus and work faster

anyways, if there's anything i can do to help don't hesitate to ask. contrary to popular opinion, not all of us have lives of our own to keep us busy, and my own current projects will either a. be finished very soon for the axe contest or b. act solely as something i come back to every month or so in my freetime and will realistically never be completed

at least stick around in the forums, will ya? there's no way i'm going to let myself come in here just in time to see a living legend disappear

i just finished reading the massive topic for srcmpwn :(
i have pretty much the same thing going on. it's easy enough to get around software, but the fighting and tension never goes away...

sounds awesome. you should definitely try to make it an rts if you can pull i off. i have yet to see a single one that was decently made(although i havent really been looking) and it may start a new trend.

i haven't gone and read through the last 55 posts so im sorry if it has been mentioned already, but reading data one byte at a time from the flash (from appvars and such) instead of unarchiving them in their entirety would be a huge help
