Other Calculators / Re: Is TI-Connect really THAT Bad?
« on: May 27, 2009, 04:31:26 pm »
I couldnt use TiLP, I tried but I didn't know how to do it right, and TI-Connect works fine for me and has more features. I couldn't figure out how to even get a file!! I also couldn't get a group to send. I guess TI-Connect works better for newer version calculators, because it never acted up unless I sent Joltima, and we all got together and solved that in last weeks puzzle challenge.

some cellphones have a mini-usb entry...

Changing an option in the cellphone that port works something like a card reader... *look for calc apps usb8x*

I also realized that is possible dev for Symbian. There is even Python for it. Might really worth a shot. (epic rpgs on cellphone is better than in calc games) Who is willing to play on a calculator in public except school??? But cellphone is a different story...

But if someone does that, how many would use it?

my phone is an LG Scoop, it has no USB entry, but that "headphone slot" was really bluetooth, so it CAN return information through it

Art / Re: Sprites needed
« on: May 26, 2009, 08:55:16 pm »
i just remember this last post... it was the first day i joined, and i said I would do the gandalf sprite... well, i started to, but i didn't know what gandalf looked like, so I made something and it looked like a robed figure with a hood on, and i did it in the middle of the screen so then i tried to move it to the top corner, and i made up some crappy code that used 2 for loops and moved the sprite over one to the left, then modified it to move up... so i got two sprites, one an outline, one a black one to make it grayscale... then i couldn't get on the laptop to use ticonnect, and i was newish to the TI calculator, so, like all other beginning programmers, I had the occasional RAM clear and my pics got deleted and i never really had any more initiative to make new ones.
Sorry noah, you probably arent getting the sprite from me, but ill try one last time if you really want me to. but it wont be a real good one, just a sloppily thrown together one and you can fix it. but only if you want me to that bad.

i think there is some sort of memory leak. the beginning of the game, when the title shows up, is a lot faster than at the end when it shows up. I noticed this after watching your useless efforts to solve the random puzzle (lol) and when you exited, i watched it (it seemed slow anyways) and then watched the title screen when the video repeated, and it went alot faster

Miscellaneous / Re: fasting
« on: May 26, 2009, 07:01:51 pm »
im pretty slim, but i eat a bunch and just skipping breakfast makes me feel sick. i have to have food in my belly at all times. last year at school i puked because i skipped breakfast, and it was only 9:30. i usually have like 2 to 4 bowls of cocoa pebbles or four waffles with syrup and butter each morning, so i am not fit for fasting. i guess its cuz im sorta athletic (and i suppose that my metabolism is high) that im not huge.

I fasted once in 6th grade for our Muslim section for extra credit. In our school, 6th and 7th grades were basically learning about medieval times, Holocaust, Africa, and worldwide religions.

I need a  SPASM download, but other than that, I'll try the tutorial one more time, and if that doesn't work, I'm gonna need a tutor. Maybe I could take a programming class online or something, because I also want to learn flash a bit.

I finished it. There isn't really a specific place that I'm not completely sure about, except I'm pretty comfortable with .db and Bcalls

this kinda reminds me of adventurequest... www.battleon.com
It has a town and you do stuff but the only thing to do out of town is fight. But you CAN go on quests, and whatnot. I prefer AQ's little brother, DragonFable, you can walk around everywhere, and there is a world, not just a town. Seeing the list of whats done and what isnt, I see it says "world 0%" so i guess there's gonna be a world, but right now its just a town. So that reminded me of it.

??? is there a site with REALLY good asm tutorials? cuz i tried asm in 28 days and asmguru, but i just couldnt get it. I like having example programs to see why the code works and some examples to show it, not just how it works and "go make it urself my tut doesnt need to give n00bs like u ex. prgms!!!"
I didnt really finish asmguru, but i learned practically NOTHING for 28 days ::)! I learned more from the example program that comes with OTBP++ than I learned anywhere else! I either need a personal tutor, or a really good tutorial.
Some specs:
>I usually use OTBP++ (its oncalc) but I have used TASM once because i couldnt find a download link to SPASM.
>The only programs I ever made was a hello world one a couple of times and i tried to make a DCS header but i dont know how.

I need help  :'(. Some of you might see me as a n00b, but that really wont help make me 1337 like you  :P. anyone that might be able to help, I love you  :-*.
