Portal X / Re: Portal X

It may sound more like they are dissecting calcs :P

(poor calcs...)
lol... fine XD
"Now your thinking with Axe!"
lol :P

Builderboy, what will you title the actual program?  prgmPORTALX would work, so what'll that be? :)
i personally dont think portalX is suitable..
since the X doesn't really simbolize anything...

if the X is just for the purpose of adding a letter there... then why not make it look like this?

"P0rtal"

that way it makes the o look bigger with the number 0 and making it look like an actual portal!
thus fixing both problems!!!

now you wont have a basic version of portal with the same name conflict...
AND now the edition is actually relevant!!!

I AM A GENIOUS!!! WOOT! XD

P0rtal!!! P0rtal!!! P0rtal!!! P0rtal!!! P0rtal!!! P0rtal!!! P0rtal!!! P0rtal!!! P0rtal!!!

Project M (Super Mario) / Re: Project M Reboot
« on: September 15, 2010, 04:06:14 pm »
Sorry I am not allowed to give it. Due to lack of a digital camera, he could not make a video of his emu and I offered him to make a video for him. He told me to not release the emu for stability reasons. However, it contained a very outdated copy of Project M, F-Zero and Desolate. I think we couldn't even jump on enemies in it :P
i see... well that's disappointing :/
oh well lol

anyways... i am actually just poking around this site looking for things i can beta test... :P
so far i haven't had any luck though...

I tried Project M and it was amazing, even though it ran twice faster than in the screenshots due to how I was using his z80 emu for the Nspire :P
YOU WHAT!?
ok... TELL ME WHERE THE LINK IS NOWWW!!!

lol just kidding...

but i would certainly love to beta test it for bugs and stuff...
so a link would be extremely appreciated! :)

how about "Mario World TI"

or something on the lines of mario and bowser some how got them selves sucked in to a calculator...

i donno... it just seems like an interesting story lol

since Nintendo could think of something like Mario and Luigi been sucked in to Bowser and stuff

Portal X / Re: Portal X

i love the design of the title screen!
to my personal opinion, i think calling it Portal is better then Portal X, since X is way over used in kid based things...

so i think simply calling it portal will keep it authentic and not cause any confusion for people with the "X".

News / Re: A Tribute to Omnimaga's Ninth Anniversary
« on: September 13, 2010, 07:41:28 pm »
Aaah ok sorry to hear. As for the front page I think it is kinda fine, but I thought about maybe reducing the size of some stuff, such as the top posters and the new posts list (since it's kinda obsoleted by the new posts list in the navbar). I also considered limiting news character to 1000 chars, but that screws up BBCode :(

But the project section was made standard based on most other TI forums. However, that was when those forums had about 1500-4000 posts a month and 70% of them were off-topic. Now not only Omnimaga has 7000 a month, but the site is also mostly calc game-developpement-oriented, which means a very high amount of projects receives regular updates compared to before. In other words, maybe categories are in order ;D . I'm not planning to increase the amount of sub-forums that are listed on the board index, though. In fact, I've even removed some and put them as child boards of others recently. :P

EDIT: Back on topic... well... almost...

Now that I think about it, since the video ends with some Star Fox 84+ clip, I should really have made something like that at the end of the clip when the 2nd song ends :P

yeah! that's actually quite epic lol

Aah I see, and Doors CS7 freaking rules too. The only downside would be the fact it takes 49 KB so on my old 83+ I only have half of my archive left (with Axe installed) but I love it and everything it can do so the only time Doors CS7 will ever be removed from my calc will be when I want to play an extremly massive game (or work on one).

I hope you stick around here and Cemetech for a while. As for the projects, I've been thinking about splitting the general projects section in multiple sub-forums in the future, because it's a huge mess right now (the first page has topics with posts from less than 3 weeks ago). I thought about having a section for dev tools, one for games, one for math programs and miscellanous stuff. Otherwise, maybe I'll simply move more projects in the Major TI community projects section
yeah, some form of categorization would be great, since its actually quite hard to find things quickly sometimes... though i would say that everything works fine the way they are at the moment... But neatness would definitely attract more people to come and join this site.

The first time i ever came to this website, i was intimidated by the way the front page looks and thought it was too complicated lol. In-fact, it made me think if i would be able understand anything on this site at all and had me thinking if i should bother making an account or not. To put it simply, i guess i have to say that it looks a bit too professional. XD

That's actually one of the reasons why i use cemetech.net more.
But thats just my personal opinion though...

p.s. sorry if i am going off topic... :/

Wow it has been A LONG while since you last posted on Omni :O (I think the last post was in March). Nice to see you're still around.

As for the games, a lot of them are still under development. Unfortunately shortly after the video was released, _player1537 announced he would make the ship shooter for the TI-Nspire instead of the 84+, though. :(. However, some versions of it are available in this topic, attached to some posts: http://ourl.ca/4791 . The last version is http://www.omnimaga.org/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=2194.0;attach=1337

The Minesweeper clone is still being worked on at http://ourl.ca/6861/116877;topicseen#new

Star Fox is also in the work at http://ourl.ca/6640 , but I have worries that the author may have moved on to other stuff :(

Besides that, there have been a lot of new projects since last time you posted on the forums. In fact, about 65% of the entire activity we had in 2 years came out in the last 6 months :P. A lot are by regular members.
wow... thanks for responding so soon! :)
sorry for not visiting during this time lol i have only been on cemetech.net during the summer and stuff.
i decided to come visit and perhaps stay here because DCS7 is finally finished!

there seems to be a lot of projects that i never even knew about until you guys posted this video!
