oh well. it was worth a try :P still pretty good for a z80 calc :P Kerm's mobiletunes doesn't do much better. Quadrophonic actually alternates between notes played :P but I think it does have sustained notes in some form.

I think there should be a black outline around the character. it would help visibility, and remain faithful to the original minicraft :P if you can fit it, that is

What does it sound like to have 5 1/8th notes in a row?

for the moment, the only thing it has over wolfram:alpha is the resizing/live interaction. Wolfram can do more than an nspire cas by far.

They are the makers of mathCAD, after all.

Most of the IR remote stuff was done by benryves. Here's a link to one.

Is there any kind of breaking between notes? If so there's no need for longer notes, as 1/8+1/8+1/8+1/8 would sound the same as a 1/2 note

Does it support multiple notes at a time? That would be harder IMO, but if it's already there that's amazing.

By the way, the IR led remote thing would be quite simple to get working (at least as simple as the 83+ one) but it would require more invasive external hardware (on the level of soldering to the dock connector, like sound for Lua). Two way would also require an IR receiver thingy (:P don't remember its name atm, not expensive) so you can recieve IR signals. This would also be helpful in figuring out remote codes.

Also, the GBC link port (not the IR one) was quite complicated. It supported up to four game boys at the same time. it would be quite difficult, I'd imagine, for very little reward.

@Spyro I doubt it would be difficult at all, for someone experienced in making emulators (read: not me) but I doubt many would be interested.

So, does "character drawing" mean sprite support or text?

Sprite support would be really nice. At arbitrary sizes, ideally.

Also, have you considered image importing?

couldn't that be avoided by putting such a check in gbc4nspire? in some circumstances it may not be desirable to have such a check in ndless's own loader. Example: I could do a keypad check by checking the activated keycode, since the click and enter buttons are unique on the clickpad and the touchpad.

that doesn't mean it wouldn't be cool to have a port though.

A blown up one might help you see it. Did you resize it before or after grey? If after, that could be the problem, some kind of interpolation.
