The nspire keypad connector in general is very simple. It's a huge lump of GPIO pins with a VCC and a Ground pin. These pins can be used for whatever you want, and the 84+ pad just so happens to have 4-5 of them free. The pads use them to address the keys matrix style, in a somewhat complicated software implementation we don't have to mess with, thankfully. The Dock connector on the 84+ is actually directly connected to 2 of these pins, making it an ideal access point for these gpio pins, but I'm willing to bet the dock connector has at least a few of its own. The RS232 may be, but I'm not too sure, I haven't investigated that much.

No. I'd rather disassemble the OS to find out. And I don't even code in Assembly. It's not like it makes a difference anyways, since no one would dare use them. By the way, a great way to get all the dock connector pins hooked up: Take eraser cut to the width of the connector so it fits snugly. Color over all the gold contacts with a pencil. Push the eraser in and out, with a good amount of force pointing downward, into the contacts. Pull it out: You will have all the contacts clearly marked. Begin stabbing wires through the eraser, and bending them over their respective lines. A connector is born!

hmm, would overflow errors cause it to reverse direction when hit (signed #) or simply slow down a lot? (in case of 1 var for direction, 1 for magnitude)

My trouble lied in the fact that I'm trying to keep my game engine very simple, meaning I didn't really want to have to code the dialogue into the actual map. I'm thinking of making it more of a dungeon crawl, So I'll probably have storyline between levels. That way it can be a separate subroutine.
I'd be glad to help once you're ready.

Lol at the storyline afterthought You win for making me think of a good way to include storyline in my own project!

Of course I have And obscene prices. And really valuable-looking (likely to get stolen because of that) cases, even if they're 10 years old. I'll take my beige $15 case any day.

So, we all friends now? A level designer sounds cool. I really liked the wolfenstein 84+ port. Someone should do that for the nspire....

Well, considering I've never owned an apple device, I've never gotten the chance to test my intelligence in that way

Only it was your window, so it's totally legal The butcher next door is just complaining because of noise ordinances.

Yep, no NPCs yet BTW it appears there's a new version of the 1.8 jar, with some bugfixes.

Which is legal, since it's Public Domain. They don't have to give credit at all. I'm glad for it, since I find it improves the music.

2153 You are seriously considering adding loops to your calculators' slide cases so you can have them on your belt. Instant access FTW! Just don't do it on any of the old ones, that slide the calc in upwards. that would be bad. I guess you could mount them upside down, but then you can't have the BBC Basic demo running on your belt screen

As long as you aren't like the mac sales clerk I talked to who said jailbreaking was like putting BBQ sauce on a steak before tasting it I can understand not jailbreaking for warranties, risk etc., but for the pride of not having jailbroken it? Really? it's more like seeing a steak, breaking the window between it and you, and actually eating it instead of just smelling it.
