so, I have a new bug.
When using the text command (not sure if it happens with all strings, but I haven't noticed it so far) it randomly replaces individual letters with "r", like once I got omnimagr.org, and once I got omrimaga.org. It changes every time I recompile, and sometimes (about 40%) doesn't occur, so for now I'm just recompiling till it doesn't show up.

ok, sadfaceness.
How about a mine? That would have quite a different look from a cave or dungeon, since it would have both the roughness of rock and earth, and the manmade structures, like wall supports.

What about having it lead into a forest? Can the rendering engine handle variable-height walls like DOOM could? That'd be kind of cool, and have very different textures. If not.....Maybe have the Jail lead up into a big castle?

well, I think what wolfesnstein did was have collision walls separate from rendered walls, as well as having items simply render. That way, they could have collision work identically for colliding objects as it would for walls (By having them marked as a wall for collision, and still have non-colliding objects. Of course, 100% of the colliding item cases (not counting npcs, but DJ's right IMO on this one.) were decorative and therefore completely optional, especially since you're not making a remake of wolfenstein, just a game like it Edit: you will have wall collision, right?

well, there are plenty of other reasons to want to patch the OS as well, like the AMS patches for the 89 that fixed bugs and increased speed. So wait, if it can't boot other OS versions....doesn't that mean CAS on non-CAS (or vice versa) is its only current purpose?

well, thanks to available power outlets and the li-ion battery, my nspire can handle that but I see your point.

I have to admit, it was always tempting to blame the language when my hello world programs wouldn't compile, when I started programming C years ago. Hey, it was a long time ago If I hate some layout of a lang, often there's a way around it, like writing my own lib around it that avoids the issue from then on This topic really doesn't apply to early community projects, or homemade ones, though. For commercial ones it almost surely does.

Try making it, but have axe compile it as MirageOS or nostub (or Ion but MOS gets icons.). That way it might avoid the issue if it's a DCS problem. It's a long shot, but hey, why complain if it works? Edit: Wait, wait, it's BASIC? hmmm..... well, if it's a problem with the homerun hook, or one of the others DCS provides, those can all be easily turned off.

I thought I counted right.... Oh missed one I'll leave it for posterity. 2038: You have revived more programming projects than you have finished.

Since OSLauncher doesn't need to worry about signing (Since you can just run any boot2 you want) couldn't we try out some OS mods with this? I bet the OS itself (nucleus RTOS and its gui) support a ton of stuff TI cut out, like having other types of applications, or shells.
Remember OS 1.2, from the old prototypes? That actually had some pretty cool features in it.

if you're comfortable with it, and never use the MathPrint Features, I highly recommend downgrading to 2.30-2.43. Make sure you backup your files!

Sounds more like a TI bug to me if it only happens on MP Oses, especially.
