So, how does an OS know if a supplied boot2 is "older" or newer? after all, they're signed with the same key. perhaps you could package a 1.4 boot2 into the 3.0 OS file. Thoughts?

I don't think it did, at least not universally. It would be bad if you could walk into the lights But I think sinks and some other things (like enemies) had collision.

I don't think tolkien made the wrong decision by splitting it into 3 parts. It meant he could make them longer without making a massive book, and it meant he made more money off of it.

There shouldn't be any malware in that link....it's a simple url redirection service. But yes, as far as I can tell with minimal testing of my own, 1.0.3 is running well, with any crashing being my fault, not axe's

But if it uses both CPUs with multithreading the code will be quite different.
By the way, there was also a GBA 83+ emu.....
Edit: Scratch that, it was reg. 83, not +

Indeed. They were awesome!
Of course, I also loved the other ender's game books. You can appreciate them much more as audiobooks, since you can phase out the boring parts while you're programming!

The Ender's Shadow series was a lot better than the original ender's game sequels. Just FYI.

So for all intents and purposes 1.0.3 is stable? That's good news, 1.0.1 made me drool. A lot. It was messy. And my friend laughed at me. But it was worth it!

By the way, Arm is definitely a better architecture than z80 (x86 is basically the evolved form of it, although not company-linked. z80 was a knock-off of the 8080 IIRC) I'd love to do it, I'd have to learn a lot about emulators, and get a much better knowledge of C, but that's the fun part, right? I'm a little confused about what the "Idea" is here though, basically you're just asking for someone to code something for you.

@FlyingFisch you would need something as powerful as the paradise to emulate the nspire or the prizm the 89 takes significantly less, but still quite a bit. Emulating the 84+ is pretty easy for pretty much any hardware you get nowadays that isn't microcontroller level. However, it would be illegal to sell the calc with ROMs. Theoretically, though, we could make one emulating a 3rd party OS, like KnightOS or GlassOS, and with a 3rd party boot code, avoiding the copyright issue. Also, the reflective screen thing....If you want color, go transmissive, or the price gets a lot higher.
