The Axe Parser Project / Regarding the upcoming Summer competition
« on: April 17, 2011, 02:49:31 am »
I'm assuming we're having another Axe competition this summer. Just a few quick questions:

what will the rules on keeping your project secret be?  Obviously no code or releases, but what about screenshots, etc?

How will Axiom use work? will they just be disallowed entirely, or are they allowed?

What will the final date be?

no, int(b)int(a)=c.

Oh, I see, by "a known integer" I meant int(c) but that you know c :P sorry.

Here's a hex number to start you off. It's easy because there's only 2 sets of results!

that's not all solutions though......:(

And a=0 doesn't work, unless c is 0, which it isn't :P

Square brackets are the de-facto way of typing floor functions, IIRC, because I don't have a reverse-L key :P

But anyways, solve int(a)*int(b)=a known integer

The hard part is that there is no inverse int( function :P

DJ, the Casio Prizm is just as locked down as the nspire. The devs just found their exploit (read: ndless for prizm), now, and CASIO either hasn't noticed, or just doesn't care.

Also, keep in mind that the amount of stuff that doesn't work on the emu comprises, I'd say, 1-3% of what is available, since it's all about the undocumented functions not being supported.

you forgot the [] brackets mean int()

Give me an F(x) style solution to [a]*=[c] where c is a known integer, but neither a nor b are known.

by f(x) I mean
f(x) = x*sin(x)+5

edit: lol at the bbcodes :P

I think Java would be much better at emulating anything than flash :P

@Xeda, I think it's because FF recognizes that it's not for word input, but IE automatically assumes it is.

What about having it be bidirectional entry, sort of like google translate?

That's very true. Plus, the CAS isn't allowed on the ACT.
