Hey, they upped the clock speed!
They probably left the nleash-circumvented protection by virtue of not bothering to remove it.
Are the actual OS images for the CX any different?

Hacking stuff makes me feel all fuzzy inside. Reminds me of the equipment lost. Not joking 56 times

Hmm....What about having no change in the player sprite, just some particle effects? Dirt flying, etc. should only take one animation, with several particles, but they behave in the same way, falling in an exponential curve downward over the dirt chunks. The digging itself is also only one process, not three. No idea how big they would all be, though

Hmm...How much of the drilling animation could be reused? Right now, it seems to be size over speed for them, so having them as several subroutines (esp. particles and such) might decrease the space. Can you do sprite flipping, to shave it to 2000 bytes?
Just some random thoughts.

Well, they're easy, and still fairly effective, considering what it takes to make one when you have a horde of followers to help out. Sure, other ways would be nice, but they become more difficult, and more specialized.

I still think we should move away from z80 tech though. There are better options that only cost a few $ more, and are twice to four times as powerful. Plus, most of them will have C support. But that's for a diff. topic.

The Other-OS feature actually worked well. It got rid of the initiative of homebrew lovers to hack it, leaving only the Backup-running portion, which tends to climb all over other people's work, and it is also more frowned upon, since they don't have a legal reason anymore.

I've had the imaginary number problem myself. It is usually wrong, maybe it's so students don't "cheat" with their calcs in class

There's an XKCD for that.... http://xkcd.com/834/ But yeah. No one is perfect, and Sony does have some motivations. If they really want to make peace, they could bring back OtherOS. Not kidding. And get rid of the HyperVisor sucking away SPU cores.

DJ, the packs I saw had from the 83+ to the nspire, including 89 and 92, but not the old 86 and 85, listing mostly genuine advantages, like the Memory space, screen resolution, ACT/SAT allowance, etc. but I wouldn't be surprised For the hardware, the nspire is a better value by far, though, than any of TI's other calcs. Can't say about Casio's, since I'm unfamiliar with the hardware.

Did you notice the z80 block? That's going to be BIG.
I need Voltage values for most of my electronic playthings, so I usually use gSchem and just make it.
