Miscellaneous / Re: What is your avatar?

lol. So, it was based on 2.55MP, I take it? As in, not 2.43 :P So it gets a bunch of free bugs from TI too.

UberGraphX / Re: UberGraphX - Ubercalculator

@JosJuice I guess it depends on if you're English or German-speaking :P It's not like anyone will hunt you down ;)

Edit: Also, if you're using Octave or Maple, or somethin similar for math, consider writing a GUI around it so that it is easier for a newbie to use. Sure, their commands are simple once you know them, and fairly easy to use, but people want the newbie-common-sense input to just work.

Hmm....what about having a button that gets rid of/brings up the HUD? Then you can play fullscreen, but run the risk of not seeing your fuel.

TI Z80 / Re: Idea : axiom DCS routines
« on: April 02, 2011, 04:10:40 pm »
Well, the DCS one should be smaller since it's in optimized asm, whereas axe, for the sake of stability, avoids optimizations that may or may not be present.

But yes, it would be cool :P

News / Re: CX officially delivered with slide-case in France

It's a third party thing that puts a few basic hooks in to control a small robot.

I love it just the way it is. You can see left and right plenty, and Up and Down don't need as much visibility.

Hmm..perfect-grey axiom...

Nice! I'm surprised there isn't a spot for Hybrid Basic though.

Maybe one's cheaper? size can also be a factor.

Edit:

We don't have the TI-Robot, the TI-Keyboard, or the TI-73.

And accessories aren't sold in shops. (TI-Graph Link USB, TI-Nspire rechargeable battery, color slide case, color keyboard for the TI-84+SE...)
We have to order them online from TI importation shops, and that's quite expensive.
I didn't see a single one of those available from stores in the US either, at least not where I live. They have 83+, 84+ and 84+SE, along with 89Ts. Not much else, unless you go online, and the stores do not have accessories.

I'm just glad it's fake, that means I don't have to worry about being forced to use it on the nspire. Otherwise I wouldn't care :P I'd just stick with 2.43

My point exactly. I wish it wasn't true, but it is. The only way around it would be to intentionally do something truly destructive, ignoring DMCAs and the like, such as releasing a CAS for the 83+, posting it on many, many website (ala nDoom) and then all we'd accomplish is getting the 84+ kicked off the ACT.

Other Calculators / Re: Future of Nspire Ti-Basic Programming?
« on: April 01, 2011, 12:15:03 pm »
You can make your own libs really easily right now. They're just written in Nspire basic, and therefore as useless as programming it yourself.

Also, I am willing to bet any CX improvements will also be in the old nspire 3.0 version as well. ;D

1872
Also, the real problem with a boycott is this: We're a minority. Most people who buy they're calcs don't know what programming is. They will still buy it regardless.

I hope this doesn't mean this is for Nspire OS 3.0.....I was looking forward to some 3D graphing, but now I'm not so sure, unless they seriously improve the nspire's programming.

News / Re: Bypassing TI-Nspire RSA signatures now possible?
« on: March 29, 2011, 10:59:26 pm »
It means that RunOS (CAS on reg, 84+ emu on CAS) is theoretically possible now. It also means that, if you have room, you could launch a 3rd party OS from the regular OS.

Is this for the ACT? It takes too long to use Solve() for it, and most of the problems can be done in your head.

Oh wait, UK. NVM, but still, cheating will take too long, and you won't finish, and knowing is really easier than cheating.

Also, Non-CAS calcs are just as capable as CASes at being programmed for certain types of equation. ;)

That's what Nspires are for! :P
