Site Feedback and Questions / Re: Site funding and maintenance
« on: March 16, 2011, 04:37:03 pm »
How much of the space we use is taken up by uploads? I know there's a lot, and reducing our space could reduce hosting costs, by finding a different place for the files, like perhaps sourceforge, or a community dropbox (not free though)

Also, maybe TI would sponsor us......:P

Shouldn't the trolls lie at least in the 5-post range anyways, so they actually had a chance to post trolling comments? :P

TI-Boy SE - Game Boy Emulator For TI-83+SE/84 / Re: TI-Boy SE
« on: March 16, 2011, 04:25:36 pm »
they're not gbc, those are gb roms. Gold and silver have this too. The carts have 2 roms on them, and one runs if it's in a reg game boy (the .gb one) and the other if it's a gbc. There are sometimes major differences, but not usually. Rippers often just post both separately.

And yes, they *should* work on ti-boy, if they aren't unplayable.

Other Calculators / Re: TI Nspire CAS+ ---- Is it worth it?
« on: March 16, 2011, 04:22:35 pm »
allso, if MP is all you're after, it pains me to say this (the MP oses have many programming-related bugs), but an 84+ with the latest OS has mathprint. 83+s don't though, unless you hack the OS (I think someone did it, but it causes problems)

I don't know either. I could see it at UTI, where you need to have one to DL tho.

@m1ac4 and stefan don't worry, you're prob at least on page 7, and no one would accuse you of being trolls (which are the real problem anyways)

Site Feedback and Questions / Re: An Idea to Solve Current Issues
« on: March 16, 2011, 04:17:37 pm »
I never really saw Cemetech and Omni as competitors. From what I've seen, cemetech has far more people doing hardware mods, and omni is more about software (especially axe :P) If I were doing a hw mod, I'd prob. post it there, if not both, soft, more likely here, since there are more people interested in that particular area on the given sites.

Other Calculators / Re: TI Nspire CAS+ ---- Is it worth it?

Yes, it has some serious bugs. The calc will sometimes fail to turn on the screen, making you think the batteries are dead while they're draining away.

Also, the hardware is roughly the same, to my knowledge, besides the fact that the CAS+ has diff. OSes, and only one at that.

Math functions are the same.

I recommend against it, but you can if you're willing to live with those.

News / Re: Massive Restructure to IRC
« on: March 16, 2011, 04:11:26 pm »
Well, the problem is OmnomIRC is really only one login,  it just adds your name after its own. That would prevent being able to individually voice people, but the no talk solution would remove post notifications. You'd have to remove the chat bar from it, that should work.

Or was it a diff bot that did the post notifications?

Correlation / Re: Correlation Progress
« on: March 16, 2011, 12:15:39 am »
Yay! I can't wait to try it.

Does it include "Correlific Mode"? or do we *just* get the awesome, easy tilemapping using the homescreen? :P

BASIC has never looked so good :P

News / Re: gCn via USB soon to be a reality, also Pi
« on: March 15, 2011, 11:18:50 pm »
That's the point of USB support. It bypasses the arduino, but can only link one calc to gCn

General Calculator Help / Re: msd8x won't work
« on: March 15, 2011, 11:16:23 pm »
@ferox the MP oses use 1 more page, but that shouldn't (I said shouldn't! don't take my word for it :P) really be the issue, since asm programs would still use it in exactly the same way.

I doubt they'd switch much and still call it an 84+. Now, if they called it the pocket grapher or similar, I'd be worried.

So..just how fast is that factor finder you made? :P

I hate the fact that unity is basically windows only. :( sounds kind of like metriod cubed, though.

And for that one message he posted on that site.

I was hoping they'd just use the regular OS, but I guess that's a little too lazy :P
