I wonder, since it's labeled .fr, would it be possible to run an english OS on it? or maybe you can just uninstall the "Francais" app. I hope it's that simple.

It is basically that, yes. It only checks for changes in specific parts of the screen, even if other parts have changed. That way, a smoothscrolling platformer, for example, could run much faster, since it only updates the area around the player, not the whole screen.

This, in section 5, might help to clear it up

Most of the Prizm pics I've seen are fakes anyways, so...
Besides, who cares about the viewing angle on a handheld? It's not like you'll be holding it like that. :P as long as it's at least 45 degrees, I'm fine with it.

Preferably, but at least now I have a highlighter, Geany has really nice variable handling though, and word completion.

So, how crash-prone is it right now? and how bad are said crashes? (assuming you avoid using plain hex)

There's already a pokemon black, a mod of Red :P

@Ashbad, it's pretty much already like that. That's why Fire Red's pokedex forces a search by type rather than a list. :P

Yay for the Gedit one! It works fine.

BTW, I love the idea of partial screen updates, rminds me of pygame's dirty rects method. Doesn't work well for everything though :P

well, magnets really only affect memory, not frying components. That would cause a BIOS error, not a fry. and those mag screwdrivers are incredibly weak magnets. But hey, it doesn't change the fact you need a new mobo :P

magnet screwdriver....not likely

Probably just something broke, or a PSU surged, frying it. I've seen it before. Killed the hard drive, CPU and Mobo
