I might have considered inviting one person a while ago, but two reasons why not. i didn't know it existed (biggest one ) He really only did it as a minor hobby. Now he doesn't program much, but at least he knows how. I actually taught him how to use 86 basic I also was half-self, half-online taught. My real experience is on the 86, reading online people's old Basic games.

http://pastebin.com/pR57e81aThis is giving me a headache. It's supposed to give me walls being drawn, getting progressively farther away, being detected off a pic, but It's not showing anything, probably due to a mistake in the formula that I can't find. Anyone have any helpful ideas/suggestions? even a completely new formula, I just want it to work.

1145: Your computer is better set up to do calc programming than pc programming, even though it's running linux.

Of course that's exactly what I meant. @apcalc Perhaps you could make a simple dialog box out of sprites, that accepts only letters (for pad compatibility) and takes them as you type them in? It wouldn't need a backspace, really, since I doubt you'll have very many digits it's about as fast to do it over again.

Well, that's good. it would be a pain to never be able to access mode.

what happens if you press mode and try to look at the clock? does it crash, or just output garbage?

Heck, I've never lived anywhere but Utah, so I couldn't tell you i'm afraid one thing they tend to lack aroun' here is teachin' how to talk withou' a Utah accen'. We pronounce my town Tremonuhn. Edit: but that takes trig not teaching that to twelve year olds.

Aah, I didn't realize the OS actually used the extra pages. I knew the 2.53 MP used the first one, but that's too bad.

Umm, that's exactly how I learned it too. .5*b*h. I live in Utah, where we have the 3rd highest education rating, but also the lowest education funding from taxes learned that in, let me think, somewhere between 4-6 grade. I dont' remember well, because it's been 5-7 years now.
