Sounds good to me :P

Could someone then take that ROM and install TI-OS on it, using an os file? :P

Do we know what the rest of those ports on the bottom do? I know the nspire actually has an SD host....

TI-Nspire / Re: notepad for the nspire
« on: January 10, 2011, 05:48:16 pm »
but fortunately gcc doesn't have to be :)

what we need, as far as I understand, is a library that works with the nspire to compile it, though, so.... this might be worth looking into since it's the library gcc uses. There are ARM ports, but I'm not sure how useful they really are.

General Discussion / Re: Justin Bieber Starcraft parody
« on: January 09, 2011, 11:01:01 pm »
Well, he spelled it mediacly, so I could see the misinterpretation.

My opinion of Justin Bieber is that he is waay too young for the girls at my high school, even though they all love him. :P

The ironic thing is, the guy in the parody video actually sounds like a guy when he sings :w00t:

Site Feedback and Questions / Re: Random Idea about the Gender Icons
« on: January 09, 2011, 10:57:11 pm »
Right but I corrected it because Holmes, who we all know is a she :P, offered to make some.

P.S. I'd absolutely love to make the new gender icons, if it is possible to have custom gender icons.

Yeah, the 83+ has practically no Archive, 96k, whereas the 84+ SE has 1.5MB

Other / Re: 1760 PS3s = supercomputer
« on: January 09, 2011, 10:30:11 pm »
Plus, aren't you using the crummy TD method? :P I can think of better brute-force methods alone than -2, check, -2, check.

Also, the ps3 using the OtherOS feature only allowed you to use 2 of its six cores, and I believe that 20-30x was based on the two cores, not all six. :) Now, If you simply JB it and install linux then, you should theoretically get 120-180x the flops of a computer :P

Casio Calculators / Re: Prizm goals
« on: January 09, 2011, 10:18:00 pm »
So, wait, you can already run code on the prizm? cool!

Nspire emulation is most likely a no-go, unless you can get that overclocking to around 800 mhz-1Ghz, which would be insane. It takes a lot of power to emulate stuff, compared to the actual power of what you're emulating. However, color Snes emulation....drool

Calculator C / Re: Linux Nspire C compiling
« on: January 09, 2011, 09:34:58 pm »
I'm using LMDE, so close enough, most Ubuntu packages work. Thanks!

Edit: So, was the issue ever resolved? I can set up a dev environmet on a diff. PC that has windows on it *shudder*

I'm not shuddering at windows, I'm shuddering at the pentium III I'll be using to compile stuff. :P

Edit2: I'm trying the GNU ARM toolchain 3.4.4, that will actually install for me now :P It comes with a standard library, glibc, want me to see if it works?
