IMO, minesweeper was great, except for being a little laggy with key detection. Other than that, I loved it. I'm a big fan on minesweep clones.

Did you install the jre package? That's going to be your problem. Try OpenJDK if you can't find "official" java packages, it's even by oracle!
Hint: Chromium is based on ubuntu ![]() sudo apt-get install java Edit: oh, and don't forget to restart your PC. Your power button should still work. 2688

I loled so hard when I saw this. At first it looked like they could link together side-by-side. That would be pretty cool.

Java would actually be better suited for this, IMO. It was actually designed to be a computer language, whereas flash was originally just for movies, then expanded to games.
It would be nice. Might be some rom issues though (unless you accessed TI's site to get it every time, from the SDK ![]() 2691

Ok, I think I officially hate WFRNG now. It crashed my calc 3 times in the same spot., right after I enter the first number. It would just shut down, every single time! I turn it on, 50% chance it crashes, 50% chance it shuts off
![]() Edit: And its worse since I have an nspire. I had to transfer all 13 entries 3 times! 2692
TI-Nspire / Re: Would an NES emulator be possible on nSpire?« on: September 16, 2010, 09:56:27 pm »
Well, what's wrong with copying it to ram, then running? Don't all the shells do something similar to this?
(I'm talking ROMs btw, not OSes) BTW the Nspire will almost certainly never emulate anything with 3d. This includes superFX snes games (starfox) and N64 games. The Nspire doesn't have a 3D GPU, so it would be like playing a game with software-rendered Direct3D (it sucks for those who don't know ![]() NES/SNES would be awesome. NES would be much easier than SNES though. I think it will be a little easier to make than SNEmulDS though, the DS was significantly weaker (and weirder ![]() 2693

Wow, that's a cheap nspire!
I think I'd probably just save it for a while, or buy this http://www.amazon.com/Worlds-Largest-Giant-Gummy-Cherry/dp/B00315HJ8C/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=grocery&qid=1284687685&sr=1-2 I'm currently in process uploading. And I got the fixed minesweeper btw 2694
Introduce Yourself! / Re: Well hi there.« on: September 13, 2010, 06:18:08 pm »
Here's a basic rundown on clickpads and touchpads
Ndless was made for an old version of the OS, v1.1, and the OS has since seen many upgrades, 1.4, 1.6, 1.7, 2.0 and 2.1. 1.4 onward had fixed the exploit ndless used. The team that made it is working on a new one, though, so eventually touchpads will work! Version 2.0 and 2.1 were released when the Black nspire came out, with the touchpad. Up until this point the OS had only been programmed to handle Clickpads, and will not recognize touchpads, resulting in a constant reboot or crashing. A black nspire can have a blue clickpad inserted into it: the calculators are exactly (well, close enough) the same, and you can install an older os using the clickpad. Welcome to omnimaga! 2695

Sweet! I loved the worms games! Never played the 84+ version, but the 86 version was ok. It would have been better with actual physics. (it just had the worms drop if the land below them was destroyed) This one looks awesome though!
hmm, will it support multiplayer? it doesn't necessarily need linking to do so, hotseat style works too. 2697

I was thinking summertime.
Plus, DJ, these computers can be turned on and off from any of the admin computers. Not kidding. my Comp. Teacher showed me one time. They all turn on and off automatically at the end of the day. 2700
The Axe Parser Project / Re: Who is entering the Axe Parser programming contest?« on: September 10, 2010, 10:57:43 pm »
That brought up the "Reset All Ram and Archive" Menu. I'm using Version 1.6
Is there any way that USB8x could be made to run on the nspire? I think I would prefer that as to connecting to the computer, because I can back up my stuff on the go. |
