TI-Nspire / Re: Port of Little John to Nspire?

and possible, IMO. Man, though, it would be even nicer If we could get a gpu somehow. Then, star fox might even be possible!

Well, I like the idea of just having 3-4 Asteroid sprites, and show different depending on distance. No scaling, very light on CPU, but less smooth.

Could we host it on here? That would be nice, in case eem's server crashed and he lost it. It might be the only copy left!

TI-BASIC / Re: Weird BASIC Glitch or error or something like that

I got something new: even after I ClrEnt, I'm still 4000 short, after deleting EVERYTHING

Ram Clear fixed it tho. :)

I'm doing it on a fresh install of nspire os 1.1, after an all mem clear.

It's taking a while tho....

Edit: Nothing for the nspire

Humour and Jokes / Re: I can't defeat Air Man!
« on: August 18, 2010, 04:13:51 pm »
Hmm, I never had trouble with air man, but that was the 86 megaman clone :P was he really hard on the nes? His tornadoes had such poor collision detection sometimes you could run right through them on the 86 (unless I'm remembering another boss :P)

I was just wondering...is the 3D in this engine capable of full rotation? It would be really cool to use this for games like Descent! Can you only face forward, like raycasting, or can you look up and down?

Ooh! If that is possible, maybe you could do an "all range mode" style of play like in the n64 version of starfox! I always liked that part the most.

General Calculator Help / Re: Nspire 84+ crash requires reinstall

I've got os 1.1 now, I'm gonna try my hand at ndless and some C. If I can get it working, anyways, 1.1 has serious issues on non-1.0 installed calcs.

Well, if it's really a better toolchain I probably will go to the trouble of updating it after installing, but it would be nice if it just worked :P

The nspire, after you delete all the languages and such has more than double the SEs, which is really nice.

General Calculator Help / Re: A New TI 84+ SE: A lemon?
« on: August 15, 2010, 08:17:25 pm »
Well, I don't hate them for anything but the nspire's asm. I can see them not thinking about it for the 82 and 85, but they figured out we wanted asm programming from the 86 and 83 onward. Suddenly, the nspire comes out, and asm(hello) does NOTHING X( learn from your mistakes TI

Maybe if we ask nicely, they will make an OS 2.2 that has an asm() command! :P Yeah right.

A friend of mine at school had one. As far as I can tell it had all the rampages, since it ran TI-boy. everyone at my school loves that one :P

It was a regular TI-84+ that I saw, though, not a silver edition (no removable key cover, didn't say silver edition in the menu either)

is there a difference between the regular and silver edition? One has slightly more archive space, I think.

ok. Thanks for the help!

Are there any reported cases of ndless 1.1 working? All I've seen are reinstalls, so maybe you have to go none->1.0->1.1

[OTcalc] ARM-Hardware / Re: Hardware Discussion
« on: August 14, 2010, 06:41:52 pm »
IMO, the Nspire's OS sucks so bad that a well made OT z80 could compete with it, and still be cheaper than an 84+. The ARM being cheaper as well, and almost infinitely better (since the hardware will be more fully and efficiently used) will be in its own league

Just my thoughts.
