Is it an md5sum? If so, generating a new one should be pretty easy. It sounds like it's intended for verifying the files, rather than preventing other apps from running.

Well, yes, 1280x1024 is 5:4, but I set the Gamecube emulator to 1280x960 (which isn't a standard screen size, but it's used often in software for the 4:3 aspect ration) and thus I have the same effect.

But even with the default textures rendered at a higher resolution it looks really good.
Speaking from a 1280x1024 perspective, so think the 4:3 equivalent of 1080p.

Oooh, now that sounds like an opportunity. You have a shell script available that starts the x server it runs.
check in /bin and /usr/bin for startx. If that exists, put that in there instead, and you might be lucky enough to have a standard xorg server running!
edit: actually, try editing xrunmh. It sounds like it might be a script too, in which case we may learn about any special cases for launching X.

Also, the Gamecube and PS2 use significantly larger resolution textures than the N64 did. (aside from the hack packs available ofc)
Make sure you adjust the texture render size in dolphin or they'll look terrible, though!

Well, sure! Just join in on the conversations, look for things to do, etc.
Google Docs has revision history, so it's easy to reverse problems caused by trolls.

@epic if that's not clear enough, think of it like this:
When the calculator boots, it loads the OS from the NAND, and copies it into the RAM. For all intents and purposes, that NAND no longer needs to exists for running the OS.
When you launch linuxloader, you start a program that causes the RAM to drop the OS entirely, and replace it with linux. Note that the NAND is unaffected. There is no OS to resume, only the Linux setup you have. Since we don't even have a working NAND driver for linux yet, having it reload the OS is pretty much impossible (and unnecessary, as rebooting is the same process)

Well, that's interesting. I've never heard anything evil about OMAP, though.

Wind Waker HD is also known as emulation through Dolphin. Thanks to the liberal use of Cel-shading, model quality is less important, and you can get extremely high resolutions, not to mention filtered textures

Isn't that mainly because of the software limitations, though? I was under the impression that the CAS+ had really similar hardware.

Try reading that shell script that starts the frontend. If possible, post it here so we can read it too.

Isn't this the calculator that was so prevalent a few years ago on ebay, because sellers were getting rid of their prototypes that they got for free?
Now I want one.....
