I wonder if you could make a CA that generates QR codes....

Well, they'd still benefit from the speed optimizations

Yeah, no one stayed on them long enough for the GIFs to load.

Luckily for Casio, the classpad has an exemption for the standardized tests.
We can't make a table yet, since we don't actually know all the specs for the new classpad. 575

Well, it's not so much alignment, as a somewhat frivolous decision. I mean, having a mercenary can be good OR evil.
Plus, think of how cool it would be to be able to have all these decisions, and end up with over 50-100 different possibilities. It only takes 6 yes/no choices to end up with 64 different possible endings 576

I like the idea of a big overworld map, but that doesn't restrict us from having internal town maps and the like.
P.S. Best SNES game ever if you love overworld maps: Uncharted Waters. (New Horizons, the sequel, is better) 577

That sounds interesting. There should be side quests related to that choice for both options, you know, for replay value.

There's one from 2000: Bomberkids.
It's old enough that it actually has an 86 port. Good game, but that's really old. 579
TI-Nspire / Re: nspire Linux Questions« on: December 11, 2012, 01:58:29 am »
Well, clearly these pieces of software were meant for more powerful devices. Remember when desktop computers were this bad? I do. Webkit didn't exist yet, and if CSS did, not many people were using it. Walls of text, with the occasional image. If you were lucky, it had anchor tags (internal page links) so you didn't have to scroll all day. Loading a page took about 30 seconds, unless there were images.

Makes sense, although I'm surprised it crashes rather than behave like the missingno glitch. Although, I guess event tiles (like load map triggers) could be written to have inlined code, and hence a corrupted one could be VERY messy.
How exactly is FF6 different aside from having entirely separate areas? Or, is that what you were referring to? 581

I like the idea of having random characters, neither good or evil. It shows that the world is broader than the two sides. There's always some guy in the corner who doesn't care either way.

Casio Calculators / Re: Old school Casio calculator watches...« on: December 11, 2012, 12:01:28 am »
Yup. Their design is identical, but the price just keeps dropping. Now you can get one for around $20 at Wal-mart.

I had a watch like that once. The battery had a bad connection.

Actually, if you do like pokemon even more, you don't need edge-of-map detection. Just make sure there are enough tiles beyond walkable areas that the user never sees past them, and trigger tiles load in the other maps.

One thing we should do: Make it so it's easy to reuse the code in other projects. Imagine if we had something like RPG Maker for calcs
