Math and Science / Re: TI-84 program for indefinite integrals

ZoomMath would not be at all impossible to rewrite. Take Symbolic and work from there to make a full-fledged CAS. In the end it would probably have more features.

Web Programming and Design / Re: Execute python in the browser

For server-side stuff, you can implement a python install just like php for a LAMP server with a different P.

That, however, is a client-side Python interpreter written in JavaScript.

Thanks!

LDS, as Xeda said, stands for Latter Day Saints. It's a Christian religion, more popularly known as Mormonism, a nickname stemming from the name of one of our books of scripture, the Book of Mormon. It documents the lives of a people who migrated to the Americas around 600 BC. The other books include the King James Bible, a book called the Doctrine and Covenants, a collection of revelations and other writings from the founding of the modern church (mid-1800s-present), and the Pearl of Great Price, a combination of a retranslation of the book of Genesis and a translation of a parchment found in an Egyptian tomb.

That's just the story of the books, though. As far as doctrine goes, the most extreme difference between my beliefs and other Christian churches would be this: We believe that we are children of God, and are working to become gods ourselves.

tl;dr It's a church. We believe stuff.

Regarding Toy Wars, if I made a remake, it would probably not be in BASIC. The code management is just too terrible. Besides, I have other ideas I want to pursue. The main reason I chose to make Toy Wars was because I knew that I could release it at various points of development, depending on how much time I had left to make it (for the contest).

HP Calculators / Re: Let's hack the HP Prime!
« on: December 10, 2013, 04:26:33 pm »
The best solution might just be to make a Linux port that runs at ~90 MHz. If we did it right, it could be possible to make libs for the Prime and nspire that would handle all the messy stuff, and from there, programs could be cross-compatible WITHOUT recompiling!

I am going to be gone for approximately two years, starting Wednesday.

I'll be on an LDS mission, in Mexico City, Mexico.

Any questions should be asked relatively quickly. :P

If it helps, just pretend I'm lurking more than usual.

Decently powerful setups can run Dolphin, allowing for the entire Nintendo line aside from the 3DS and Wii U.

Terry Cavanagh would be fine with it. People make remakes of his games for the C64 all the time.

That's totally feasible. Just get a few relays, or rip the controls out of an existing microwave.

That was my point, yes. If we really wanted to do these kinds of projects in a practical way, there are much better alternatives. Working with the resources we have on hand is part of the challenge, in my opinion.

If you want something epic to use it for, why not a proper computer? It's not as if the nspire isn't also an extremely limited platform.

Edit: \sarcasm

Sorry, assumed for some reason that the z80 in the calcs is modern (silly idea) and had the better cycle rates. Then I remembered I was basing my guess on ez8/ez80 datasheets. :P
