Correlation / Re: Correlation Resumed At a Slower Pace

Yay!
I hope it doesn't get too boring rewriting the same thing. :-\  Good luck!

This discussion reminds me of that pure TI Basic raycaster calc84 made long ago.  I believe it was slower than 1 frame per minute.

Wow.
There's no way for me to describe what I felt when the level select screen showed up.  Incredible job. :)

Whoa, I had/have a TI-BASIC named Midnight with a title screen that looks virtually identical. It's just missing the "Zachary Tuller" bit.

O.O
Wow, that's strange.  What was it like?

It was an Illusiat style RPG.

It got a bit farther than this screenshot (such as a working battle engine, etc..), but your version looks even better.
Spoiler For Spoiler:
Nice!  It look(s/ed) great. :)  Do you have any plans to finish it?

The Axe Parser Project / Re: Features Wishlist

Here's one that I think would be pretty useful and easy to implement: custom interrupts that call the OS interrupt handler before starting or upon finishing. This would allow programmers to use commands like getKey or getKeyr with custom interrupts enabled, which could be very useful. Perhaps fnInt(LBL,FREQ)r? If they wanted they could actually use this to speed up arrow key repeats as well.
I think this is a great idea as well.

I'm for closing the parenthesis; since some commands already require it, I think it should be universal.

The new syntax sounds neat. ;D

I don't know why, but this reminds me of Exodus :D
* turiqwalrus liked Exodus... a lot...
Thanks. :)  I hope it's because of the speed...

How do you get it to go so fast?
...which is so good because I had lots of practice with Basic before Axe came out.  I also learned a lot from Builderboy and various other sources.

Sweetness!
That's freaking epic. O.O
Thanks. :)

TI Z80 / Midnight

Midnight:

This is a game I started for the fourth Cage Match (the Swarm).  I hit a snag and stopped working on it for a while, but it's back on track.  I'm not going to provide too many details, as I want it to be a little surprising, but I show some of it in the screenie:

Highlights of the screenie:
Metroid Pi style graphics.
Elmgon style movement, with bullets that move at 1:1 based on the character/enemies.
I'm working on a grappling hook to grab boxes and move them around right now - it's partially shown in the screenie.
There are some other things as well.

I have no idea when it'll be released, as progress is slow with my current schedule.  It'll fit in RAM when done, but it's going to be a little large.  I believe there will be 25 rooms and 4 bosses when finished.

Let me know what you think! ;D

Edit: This is for the 83+/84(SE) series, and programmed in TI Basic. :)

TI Z80 / Re: zStart - an app that runs on ram clears
« on: May 05, 2011, 09:42:06 pm »
I wonder if you could make sure Doors is on the calc and then run the routines straight from there. ???

I also have an idea: Can you add a Start-Up (App by TI) like thing for programs, only to be run on a RAM Clear instead of on Start-Up.  For instance, this would allow for third party advancements to zStart if you ever stop maintaining it.  I got to thinking about this by wondering if your OffBy1 program could be run on RAM Clear... :P

Edit: Is there anyway to make sure that certain hooks do not get destroyed?  Like a hook replacer or something?  For example, OffBy1 on PressToTest, or Mirage's [Alpha]+[On] with DoorsCS.

Success!!!  Crabcake works on ALL Ti-83+ and Ti-84+ calculators.

I now need to write the manual/special thanks and clean up the include files.
Wonderful!  Do you mind explaining how you achieved 83+ compatibility?  'Tis interesting. :)

Strange.  Again, I'm using Firefox 4.1:
If I left click on "Rules," "Today's Logs," or "This Year's Logs" and open it in a new tab, it opens another copy of the page I'm currently on instead of the logs. ???

I am no artist :P
That may be, but it still looks great and functions.  I'd say it meets the criteria for a title screen plus some.  Nice job. :D
