I was wondering if any here has taken the Halo 2: Legendary challenge? If you have, how far have you gotten in Legendary mode?

Currently, me and my bro have been playing for about 1 month, and we have just gotten past where you meet the plant/creature that sends you after the index.

If you haven't played this mode, you really are missing out on a pain in the shorts game...

Attempted, never really got anywhere. I don't know, for some reason I'm not terribly good against the CPU, but against humans, I rock, if I do say so myself. I think I'm around the part where you get dropped in to the city.

Well, a piece of advice:

Pick up Plasma Rifles as soon as you can, they cut through the enemy shields very quickly, but will still require lots of planning and tactics.

Personal favoite combo (in gameplay) is most definatly Battle Rifle and a Plasma with either a pistol or SMG due-wielded. Although I never wield in multiplayer, gernades are too much fun

. Something I learned was that the shotgun is your best bet against elites.

That is true, the shotgun is the ultimate weapon, problem is, the shells for it are hard to find, and the enemies version will take you out in one shot, plus there are a ton of enemy snipers...

sry I dont have halo 2, I dunno if I would have enough RAM to run it on my PC, and I dont have a xbox

My parents say its "too violent" so I cant have it. LOL i just borrow my friends, he has it and never plays it so he just lets me have it. It's prob. one of the best X-box games ever.

totally agree, the best is link up multiplayer or xbox live though

anyways, yeah, my friends have beaten halo2 on legendary, i don't have halo though, but play it all the time! anyone know the newbie combo? plasma pistol charged up, then immediately switch to battle riffle

Did your friends beat legendary in co-op, or alone?

I love the shotgun when it is available, SMGs are my personal favorite dual wield, and the caribines are nice when you are fighting the brutes, if you get 2-3 headshots off, they will die.

The funniest thing I have everheard out of this game:

Grunt: I will love you, I will pet you, I will feed*BAM*...

I was laughing so hard after that I couldn't play for an hour... And the BAM is me shooting it with a pistol... >D

Seargent: *Takes Sniper rifle, gives battle rifle* And I thought you were my friend...

This was where you crash on the planet, he gets a sniper, no fair...

Anybody else heard anything funny like that?

I couldn't play for a day. It's the only time I have heard anything referred to the outside world, and it was absoultly hilarious.

lol, actually one of my friends beat legendary with his brother on co-op, but my other friend truly beat it, spending a month i think on the final boss, tarsonis.lol

see, the whole key he told me is to run through the entire levels, its impossible if u take them head on
