The DS can only play GBA games not GB/GBC ones. D:

Also for the mtuliplayer thing I think it's possible for DS games but not for GBA games.

I'm fairly certain DS's can run GB/GBC games, the only problem is, they don't fit.  :banghead: I've tried multiplayer with GBA on DS's a lot, despite my stupidity, it doesn't work. :P

Also, are GBA SP's really that hard for people to find?  O.O Pretty much everyone at my high school has one. I have 2.

The GB/GBC uses completely different hardware that Nintendo included in the GBA (SP) but not the GBA Micro and DS (Lite), so the DS isn't backwards compatible with GB/GBC games.

But DSI and 3DS don't have the GBA slot anymore, right?

I want a gba sp, but the backlit model. Just for playing the original gameboy games. I could also run an emulator on the DS and it will work fine.

I think I still have 2 of these somewhere (a black and a red one). I don't ever remember them making them without a light, but they did release one with a brighter light later on in the systems lifetime IIRC.

That is correct Sorunome. The DSI and 3DS lack a slot for GBA cartridges.

Most SP have a frontlight. The ones with backlight are more rare.

Exactly that though they could as well throw in some software emulation like the Wii virtual console.

It's the best iteration of the GBA series. Yup, it's pretty hard to find. Unlike the stock GBA with a fragile D-Pad, the SP got backlit, pretty good dimensions and a rocking good button set!

I want a gameboy micro. They are quite expensive due to their low production scale.

They aren't compatible with original GBA plugable accessories, like Link Cable or NGC connector. YOu have to find a compatible version, rarer than the original...

I do have to say they are my favorite.

many people get rid of their old GBA because the screen is almost impossible to see then they get a backlit one instead. I bet that in a few years we'll see both the GBA SP and GB Players for $200 on Ebay x.x

Wouldn't doubt it, for example. I found the lowest price (on Ebay) for a "Yu-Gi-Oh Duel armband" (The arm deck holder thingies...) was $250 used, $500 unopened...
I was like, I'm gonna keep mine in the closet for another year. >:D

Darn wow I didn't realize Yu-Gi-Oh stuff could go for that high except the cards.

As for my games only a few that I own went higher than I originally paid for, because the others are either too common and not enough in demand or not that impressive. Only Demon's Crest, Final Fantasy III, Zelda AlttP French Edition, Secret of Mana and my unopened copy of F-Zero probably went higher in value than the price I originally paid.

Well I haven't had any spectacular game pickups, but I guess going to a sort of electronic/games store and picking up some games, for less than $20 each, PC games that were at the time only a few years old and that I liked.

I had played Civilization IV, from a borrowed copy and really wanted to buy it before hand. This was sometime in 2008-09. Then I saw a Civilization IV Complete single DVD-Rom Case, which not only contained the base game, but also the two expansions Warlords and Beyond the Sword (no Colonization unfortunately as it wasn't released at the time, though it's not an expansion pack :) ). Total price was less than $20 AUD as I said, which is pretty good for such a high quality game. Since then I've played it and used it on several computers and still is good worth for money today.

Other games I got pretty cheap include The Settlers V: Heritage of Kings, Bionicle Heroes (I nearly finished this game!), and a few others, at that time.

PS: I have never played any Final Fantasy game :O

I got final fantasy 12 for the ps2, but I don't think it is the best one to get into the series with (because there were too much stats to worry about). I picked it up because it was only €1. Complete in box :3
