is there a way to make lines such as x = 2 in the TI Nspire CX?

can't you change y1 to x1 by deleting the Y and replace with X?

I tried that. It says
Error
not a function

Mind you I am using the graph type "Function"

i don't think there will be one, since a function is something that has only 1 y value per x value.. and since x = 2 has an unlimited number of y values, it won't be possible as a function. maybe as parametric

I am not familiar with parametric equations yet (I am 14), but I need a way to get x = 2 types of lines.

If the Nspire allows for drawing of vertical lines on the graph screen, you can draw one at the "2" mark on the X-axis. That's about as close as I know how to get.

You could also do f(x)=1000x - 2000. It isn't really vertical, but you can't see the difference.

It's quite easy with parametric equations...

Just use {x1(t)=2, y1(t)=t}

It doesn't really work with a function, as the equation would be undefined when trying to express with f(x) or y, but the parametric equation works nicely.
On another note, asymptotes (the vertical ones shown as dotted lines) can also be shown (in a manual fashion though).

Parametrically, it works, but you can also do stuff like y=1000(x-b) where to graph x=b for staying in function mode. Basically the same way lkj said.
