This sucks. To me this definitively seems like a BETA OS. I wouldn't be surprised if the final copy was something like 2.73MP or higher, or maybe a fixed 2.71. However maybe they improved some things to make them faster, which might explain the smaller size, but also the possible introduction of new bugs...
