Should we post updates and screenies, or should we avoid that? I posted a screenie and I notice that the others have, too, but I am wondering if I should not post anymore?

It's fine. Just don't release the sources/executables/etc.

Is it possible to have a team working on the project? I have never done an RPG before, and I'll need help...

About team, leafy asked about the same thing before and I said yes. Of course, grading will be bit more harsh the the solo entry though.

I'M unsure, but if it works like the actual Omnimaga contests during Summer, team projects only get points for the stuff the main author worked on. For example, if you didn't make a single sprite, then this might affect originality. However, if teams are allowed, then maybe the main issue might be prize distribution, and Yeong might stop holding responsible for whatever happens with the prize after it's distributed and you actually received it (eg if you don't or can't give anything to your teamate)

EDIT: Nvm, see Yeong post just above.

If the prize is digital (electronic gift card or paypal prize), would it be fine? Or do they monitor your entire internet activity click by click?

So far, all four competitors are doing it for fun :P Somebody should keep a tab on this so they know what time of year to do a contest again XD
