Since I am not sure about the future of this project, I thought I should maybe at least release what I got, plus it was almost complete when it was stopped. So here is Illusiat 13: The Last Chapter, version 0.90 in the download section now:

Every 10000 years, a small planet called Illusiat, from a nearby solar system, passes through ours, very close to the Earth, always at the same distance. Very far in the future, millions of years from now, after many wars against evil, the population of both planets has decreased drastically, but 10000 years ago, the last survivors could meet again and allied together to fight using the power of both mankind knowledge and illusian magic together to create a weapon that would eventually lead to their victory. With few remaining human technology, both races were quickly cut from each others afterward.

Soon, they are going to meet once again, but this time might be the last...

Illusiat 13 is a massive RPG (Role-Playing Game) where you must explore new areas to find clues to advance in your journey. On your way you encounter monsters you must defeat. Battles are 1 vs 1. As you fight, you get stronger and earn gold dropped from enemies. Once you get strong enough your level increase and your statistics increases. With the gold, you can eventually buy items to help you in battles. You also find special items that eventually become helpful in your quest.

In this game, you control Noardy, an Illusian mage who is sent to Earth by the Illusian Command Center (the ICC) to investigate about some mysterious stuff that are occuring in the space, which happens to have affected the orbit of either Illusiat, Earth or both planets, and why the Earth Command Center (ECC) is no longer responding. You will slowly discover that the fate of both planets lies in your hands and that over 20 hours of quests and challenges are awaiting for you!

Please note that game is not finished, though. It is 90% complete. Everything works, except the final dungeon is barely done and one side quest is still missing from the game. You will also require over 130 KB of archive memory and all your RAM to play.

Alright! It looks really nice, especially the battle part. I like how when the battle ends, screen goes up and the experience thing adds up and stuff. Hope you finish it soon, if you find enough time...

I got annihilated in my first battle....wow I fail...

I hope this game won't pose problems to people during installing, aside from taking a while (130 KB total spread through 24 programs from what I remember)

Just please, do not press the ON key while saving. Well, in my older games you must not do so either, but since saving was almost done in an instant, people were not tempted to give up halfway through the process. If I finish this, I will have a progress percentage being displayed through the entire loading/saving process.

I don't recall noticing bugs in the 4th dimension, what error do you get?

If you mean the thing about exiting a room and getting at a random place, though, it's not a bug, I made it this way as some sort of illusion world. Do you get an error or something, though?

mhmm strange, really strange. are you sure you installed it correctly and didnt accidentally alter save files/run a bad program? I never ran into that bug while playing. You would need to make a screenshot, as I am more visual (maybe try in a emulator)

It could be a bug that got introduced while the 4th dimension area was implemented, though. The even programs are so increibly large that some stuff that shouldnt be executed at some places might be before entering some areas.

Also there are several forests so it's hard to tell

Oooh that's not a forest, that's a mine (the abandonned mine), altough it was quite hard to find a ASCII tile for walls. I did find a bug earlier there, though.Normally the guy isnt even supposed to be there early in the game yet and the door is supposed to remain locked. However, i landed in another map and got an ERR:DOMAIN error. I still don't know what you mean by the 4th dimension bug. I'm trying to do a quick run through the game right now (with hacked stats)

I will most likely need to fix some stuff I guess if I work on it again

EDIT: Attached screenshot of the abandonned mine bug to see if you got a similar one. Btw, at this point, I got out of the Dark Cavern, got saved by the mage and arrived at the Desert and did nothing else so far. I'm currently playing with LV 255, started with 999999 GP and disabled random encounters
