Yes, it was a 'shop.
I've done it myself.


But the final TI-84 Pocket.fr could have several similarities...

TI-France has mentionned on FB that:
- the TI-84 Pocket.fr will have the same functionnalities as other TI-84+
- the keys will have the french labels
- the screen will have the same dimensions as the TI-84+ screen
- the calculator will be smaller ("pocket")

So this was one way of making a much smaller TI-84+.
Here's another way with a sliding keypad, but I've spent much less time on it:

Hmm, I doubt TI would make a sliding keypad. The keys that get recessed would be a lot harder to access.

I wondered,(about the shopping) but I still stand by what i said. A small clamshell design like that would be awesome! =) I am curious to see what TI will actually come up with.

It's a stripped down TI-83/82 Stats. It's the same thin but with fewer functions. Kinda like the TI-73 in USA.

As for the images above it's obviously photoshopped but I guess it would be nice. For some reasons, I really believe they'll follow the same design as the TI-82 Stats.Fr or TI-76.Fr, though:



This is the same design as the 3rd versions of the TI-82 and 83 in 2001:




I hope the LCD isn't blue, though. O.O

TI has indicated that the screen size will be the same.
Because there's only one engineer left who remembers how to make displays that crappy. :D

Or maybe all their best Z80 programmers are gone, so there's nobody left who can write a new OS for them.

Or maybe they've decided they're not going to make any more improvements to the Z80 line because they've run out of numbers.  What would they do next, a TI-84 doubleplus?

Seriously, it's nice that the past few models have (more or less) preserved backwards compatibility, but I'd like to see something really new.
