TI Z80 / Mr. Bob's Bad Day (Out?) A Text RPG [CE/CSE] [TI-BASIC]
« on: March 08, 2016, 09:47:18 am »
So, I've started another project with my overnight self-taught knowledge of TI-BASIC. This time, I've started my first game, inspired by Jeremy Burke's Mr. Bill's Bad Day Out. This story is about his equally unlucky brother, Bob, but with some differences. There will be at least 2 clear ways to win, not just one way to not die, and this is also made "Adventur style."

Screenshots from TI Connect CE:

So far, I've done little, but here's a small demo! I'm sure it's bug free, apart from the missing Lbl instructions, and could use optimization.
It is my second from-scratch TI-BASIC program ever, after all.
Here it is!

TI Z80 / GraphSet CE [CE/CSE] [TI-BASIC]
« on: March 08, 2016, 09:44:15 am »
I taught myself some TI-BASIC programming concepts overnight, and programmed this:

What do you think? I could probably use some optimizations, so I'm posting it here.
It currently carries out the same functions as Nitro_Hawk's Graph Fix program, toggles Plots(on/off), toggles Diagnostics, and "Enters Workmode."

Work mode is just my custom preferred graph settings. I left this unlocked so users can customize their own WorkMode, but I don't know how
to comment in TI-BASIC, if it's possible. I also named the program GraphSet CE just in case I decide to make a monochrome version, because my program
uses functions (like GridLine) that monochromes lack.

Maybe someone could also test it on the CSE? I don't know if the CSE can have a Line grid.
The current program is attached. When it's been evaluated and considered complete, I'll upload it elsewhere.

Art / Platformer Game Character Sprite Contest!!! :P
« on: January 25, 2016, 05:54:41 pm »
Here it is! @E37 and I are making a platformer game called "Slime." While the CodeWalrus Community helps me with the name of a boss I created, I decided to make this here. I created some character sprites, but I'm not sure if I like them.
All Stuff for this game can be found here:

Here are the RULES
- The Character Sprites must look cool and appropriate for a platformer game with no story so far.
- The sprites must be no larger than 8x8 pixels, but can be any dimensions 8x8 or smaller.
- Sprites must be posted here for all to see by 2/5/16.

- The character can currently use a shield(which just looks like a bubble around it)
- The character will be able to use a blaster of some sort.
- Best Place for Online Sprites:
- This game is for the TI-84+ and is MONOCHROME(Ooooo! A challenge!)
- The game is in Axe; If you win, put your sprites in hex.

Keep these things in mind as you sprite! @Art_of_camelot , this is a call to arms! :)

TI Z80 / Nymless v1.81 Installation Issues
« on: January 23, 2016, 10:12:43 pm »
Whenever I try to send Nymless.8xk to my TI-84+, it performs a Garbage Collect and I receive this message: "Error in Xmit" just before a RAM clear. What's going on, and how can I fix it?

EDIT: The file's corrupted. WHERE IS FREYADAY????

Here's a sprite I made, and I just wanted to know what people thought about it. The poll is because it might appear in an unannounced game at some point.

Miscellaneous / Should I change my profile pic to my student photo?

I'm not sure if I want to change my pic or not, but I also wanted to randomly post something with a slightly useful meaning.

Reuben Quest / CE Port?
« on: January 15, 2016, 04:40:39 pm »
Would it be possible to make a TI-84+ CE port of the Reuben Quest Series? I could do this myself, as I have the time, just not the skillz. :3
I'm planning on which calculator to get next, because my 90 days are almost up on my TI-84+, and I'd be heartbroken to have a good calc and no Reuben.

TI Z80 / [Idea] Axe Remake for DJ Omnimaga's Metroid?
« on: January 05, 2016, 09:12:04 pm »
I was wondering if anyone had ever thought of this, or if it was possible. I didn't try to play the original, because I always have only a small amount of space in my Archive, and I'm constantly clearing my RAM. Maybe if Sorunume had some extra time... Reuben Quest turned out good....

Help! I'm looking for any good TI Boy Games that will fit in a TI 84+, the version that was created last year. Do they exist, or is there some other way to increase my RAM so I can at least play Gemini or Robot Wars?

Introduce Yourself! / A New Omnimaga User with a Handy TI 84

I am new at Omnimaga, but I've been browsing it for months. I just joined. I am hoping to be a beta tester, so contact me if you need dedicated beta tester who keeps his TI 84+ in his pocket.
