News / TI Releases the new OS
« on: February 15, 2010, 01:01:12 pm »
TI has officially released the new OS, boasting of mathprint and a history list of past equations you entered like omnicalc was able to do.
http://education.ti.com/educationportal/downloadcenter/SoftwareDetail.do?website=US&tabId=1&appId=6014
Due to the lack of compatability with lots of software it is recommended that you do not install this on a real calc but on an emulator.

Art / ADE Icon's Needed
« on: February 11, 2010, 08:13:40 pm »
I need a good set of icon's for ADE. Right now I am using a modified version of Wabbitemu's one, but I need something better, something that is specific to ADE.
So could someone please help me by making a icon, we can vote as a community on which one I should use if more then one is submitted.

TI Z80 / [ADE] Assembly Development Enviroment
« on: February 08, 2010, 07:35:47 pm »
ADE is from the ASM DEV SET topic, but this is the official topic.
So I have finished these features:
  • open/save/save as
  • edit file
  • run with wabbitemu (latest build)
  • assemble with Spasm
  • view help (unwritten (on google code page))
  • view google code source
  • standalone program
  • installer
  • Easter eggs (find them yourself :p)
if someone could test the installer for me and let me know if it works that would be great :)
also the assembling/wabbit integration is fully functional, so you can actually use this for development right now :D
let me know what you think :)
also I uploaded a fixed version of v1.2b that should work. All you need to do to get the broken one to run is to open up chrome\chrome.manifest in a text editor and change 'ade' to 'asmdevset'

http://code.google.com/p/asmdevset/

edit: so I fixed a little php script that tests to see if you have the right version. This is v1.3b only, so sorry it's not out quite yet, but it will be soon. I might be doing some more online, php backend stuff, like submitting an error report and such. Also I need some help making the wiki. So anybody who is good at that please help.
If someone could test the installer could you please let me know, that would be great :)
if you have any suggestions please don't hesitate to post about them.

Edit2: so it seems on the installer version the program to run it doesn't work...try dragging application.ini onto xulrunner.exe instead. Also make sure the process xulrunner isn't still running when you do that.

TI-BASIC / How to display the % sign in basic [homescreen]
« on: February 06, 2010, 02:15:42 am »
I wad playing around with my calc at school and I figured out a easy way to display the % symbol on the homescreen. Just do this:
Code: [Select]
output(y,x+<how many digits in number>,"I%
output(y,x,<number>
anybody got a better way to do it?
This can also be converted to graphscreen, but it's a bit trickier to place it.

TI Z80 / Hunt z80 port
« on: January 25, 2010, 10:36:25 pm »
So I made a simple game a little while back called hunt. The object of the game was to occupy the same space as the prey 99 times and in essence killed it. So as a few of you know I've been learning ASM and so with what free time I can get I've started to port Hunt to asm. So the actual game engine is done, but there is only one difficulty which is pretty easy, and you only have to hit it 20 times. Currently I am making the menu and fixing up the code.
Here is a screenshot and the game, it's noshell so just run it with asm(prgmPROGRAM

Tell me what you think :D

News / New Subforum
« on: January 23, 2010, 12:04:29 am »
We have added a new subforums for all TI-BASIC subroutines. So far only mine and one of ti-newb's are there. The purpose if this subforum is to make it easyier to find any subroutines you may need and to show off any you make.

TI-BASIC / Background tasks
« on: January 21, 2010, 04:27:42 pm »
I have been working on a subroutine that you call and all it does is run registered subroutines kind of like interrupts and its relatively snappy. It stores all the names of the running "tasks" to a program ( ':' delimited) and then runs them (using my smart run method (stores prgm<program name> to a temp program and runs it)). This would be good for key-press interrupts and background tasks like key loggers and such. it would be good for something like a windows shell or something. I'm thinking of rebooting the CCI SHELL with it :P

Quote

The World Ends

The world lost its morals
it lost its grammer
it lost itself to computers

Their minds were corrupted
and turned to mush
civilization slowely deteriorated

Until it became nothing
the youth became slaves to screens
and the adults did nothing

as they were slaves as well
the world did not end from war
it did not end from disease

it did not end from flood or fire
instead it ended with mans creation
the computer killed it

the computer and the internet
destruction is not due to death
but to stagnation

NanoWar has released the second demo of his promising game called Wizards. This is a card game, and there has been a long time between demos.
If this demo lives up to, or surpasses his first you are in for a real treat, due to the fact that it is a very well done game.
I heartily recommend that you download and test the game
