I sold this vb license :) and it was offered in exchange for a freelancer work (no costs).

Old members need to register again, I used a filter to delete all old  accounts and old posts.

Casio Calculators / Casiopeia - We're back, after our "summer vacation"!
« on: September 05, 2012, 11:54:56 am »
Finally we went back again, after some "downtime", our forced "summer vacation"!

I moved the forum to a new and open source platform, phpbb, i also refreshed the image of the forum. Possibly there will be some broken links/images, but will be fixed as soon as possible. There is still much to do...

Of course, our site remains ad-free, nonprofit.  ;D

Our name is inspired by the constellation "Cassiopeia", and is suggested by yeongJIN_COOL, taking advantage of the beginning of the word cassiopeia be very similar to the word/brand casio.

Thanks for all support of our members, but also planet-casio and omnimaga.

Here is our new url: http://www.casiopeia.net/forum/

Members registered in 2012 can use the same account, only need to request a new password.

Nice see a update :)

Unfortunately, I will not be able to test this new update, I have no cable. I tested the initial version with a cable borrowed.

is possibel to make a homemade cable? Official cables are expensive and rare, they cost 37€ + taxes.

TI-Nspire / Re: Play SNES Games on your ti-nspire CX
« on: August 28, 2012, 06:55:19 am »
There are more homebrew emulators for gba, until there is a ti83 emu for gba(doesnt work on nspire )!

You can find many Nice homebrews like emulators, games, programs (like paint, etc) here:
http://gbaemu.dcemu.co.uk/

One advantage is that these programs/games are considerably smaller than retail roms.

Unfortunately, this snes emu for gba is a big slow :(

Casio Calculators / Re: Video player for Casio Prizm
« on: August 22, 2012, 07:47:26 am »
CGplayer 2 supports colors, however is very slow, you can expect with 150% overclock 3 fps according to Mpoupe (without overclock maybe 2)

cgplayer 3 only supports Black and white, is more faster, i think you can expect 12fps. I recommend this version!

totoyo, thanks for the video and test :D

Not even with WINE?
1 linux user reported me in my old site, that did not work with wine, however you can test it with wine and say if it worked or not.

BTW: There is also a video player for fx9860 series http://www.planet-casio.com/Fr/forums/topic11429-1-Cr%C3%A9ez-vos-vid%C3%A9os-pour-calculatrices.html  (download links and complete guide dead, I have to do reupload)

Some time ago, Martin Poupe released to the public their video player for casio prizm.
However, he did not release any tool to convert videos (only some instructions), they had to be converted using the command line, what was difficult for normal prizm users.

I've been working to create an easy way to convert videos, and I come here today (some time ago) to release this conversion tools.

Conversion Tool for cgplayer 2 (jpg based) V2:

Changes:
-New Preview Function

You need:
You need Java - http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp
Conversion tool - http://www.multiupload.nl/VMV5LCNNAO
Pc running windows (doesnt work on linux)

Usage:
1-Download .rar file and extract it (on desktop, or at any place)

2-Copy your video to the folder "video" and rename it to cs.extension

Exemples:
old name: helder7.wmv
new name cs.wmv

old name: helder7.mpg
new name: cs.mpg

3-Open file BatchGUI.jar, click in "Start!" and select your video file in folder video (named cs.extension)

4-close BatchGUI.jar wait some seconds until the video frames is extracted

Open folder video and run the file 1-YOUREXTENSION.exe

for exemple, if my video is cs.wmv, i need run the file 1-WMV.exe

then, run file 2-delete_frames.bat to delete all frames and clear the folder video

if you want test the video in pc, open 3-test it.bat (in video folder).

5- copy cgplayer2.g3a (in package root) and demo.mjp (in folder video) to your prizm (in calculator root), enjoy!

Conversion Tool for cgplayer 3 (raw based) NEW!:

You need:
You need Java - http://java.com/en/download/index.jsp
Conversion tool - http://www.multiupload.nl/0EWER96MYH (new link, framerate bug fixed)
Pc running windows (doesnt work on linux)

Usage:
1-Download .rar file and extract it (on desktop, or at any place)

2-Copy your video to the folder "video" and rename it to cs.extension

Exemples:
 old name: helder7.wmv
 new name cs.wmv

 old name: helder7.mpg
 new name: cs.mpg

3-Open file BatchGUI.jar, click in "Start!" and select your video file in folder video (named cs.extension)

4-close BatchGUI.jar wait some seconds until the video frames is extracted

Open folder video and run the file 1-convert_frames.bat (to convert extracted .jpg frames to .pgm)

after open 2-YOUREXTENSION.exe

for exemple, if my video is cs.wmv, i need run the file 2-WMV.exe

then, run file 3-delete_frames.bat to delete all frames and clear the folder video

if you want test the video in pc, open 4-test it.bat (in video folder).

5- copy cgplayer3.g3a (in package root) and demo.mjp (in folder video) to your prizm (in calculator root), enjoy!

Only tested on 2 pcs with windows 7, if you find some bugs, report here...

Web Programming and Design / Online Txt Accent Remover V2
« on: August 18, 2012, 08:34:24 pm »

A simple online tool that replace the special characters by characters supported by txt reader for mobile devices like calculators, mp4 players, mobile phones, ebook readers, etc...

Like:
ã -> a
é -> e

The initial version V1 is released some months ago, in a discussion about txt readers with xtrm0 (in CS).

Now i updated it!

New features in V2:
-Now your can upload your *.txt files instead of writing text in the page.
-More special special characters support (portuguese, french, spanish, german, italian...).
-The tool count the number of converted files.

You can use it at:
http://wiki.planet-casio.com/tools/accent-remover/

Tip: Currently only support .txt files in ANSI.

Enjoy ;D

Casio Calculators / Re: Questions about .g1l files
« on: August 12, 2012, 09:25:52 am »
No casio doesnt provide any software to do this, however, this type of files (.G1l) is easy to hack with a hex editor.  :evillaugh:

i think russian characters are included in the OS, and chinese characters no (since diameter and other CS chinese devs uses a custom font)

if indeed, the Chinese caracters are not Included in os, there are one solution: Os Modding to inject Chinese font in os and create a custom (.g1l)

for casio fx-cg10/20, casio released a software update (1.04) to add support for Chinese characters, fx9860 and was never updated after this
