TI Z80 / Bowling v1.2
« on: September 26, 2007, 05:36:00 pm »
You can add it to the archives. I don't mind. :Ptongue.gif

Actually I haven't submitted to ticalc.org yet because I want to make sure there are no errors first. I tested it extensively, but it seems like there's always that one error that finds it's way in.

Btw, am I supposed to include the .hex file in the release?
I checked the readme with BasicBuilder but it didn't say anything about including the source code or .hex file.

Here it is Bowling v1.2

http://www.unitedti.org/index.php?act=Attach&type=post&id=1918

There's a few changes in the game:

You can now foul.
AI is way more difficult. :)smile.gif
Graphical modifications.
A secret code.:Dbiggrin.gif(Hint: When the game records stop scrolling into view, press "." twice and hold it on the second press. While holding "." press "+". You are now a millionaire :)smile.gif)
Faster saving.
Save file takes up less memory.
Items automatically pack when you purchase them.
And bit of speed optimization in a few areas.

The compiled app has  only 25 bytes free  :Dbiggrin.gif That's why it took so long to put this thing together. Every time I added something, I'd have to delete or optimize another thing to make room. I ended up getting rid of the 4 large sprites that were displayed in the arcade game selector. This allowed me to eliminate an entire picture file.

Oh, and if there's any bug/errors/graphic quirks/anything at all, please let me know so that I can fix them.
I'll gladly take comments/suggestions as well, so feel free to post :)smile.gif

Well look on the bright side, programs are always better the second time.
Whenever I have to reprogram something due to a ram clear, it always ends up being better the second time around (at least for me).

Finally got the music done! :Dbiggrin.gif
I've named the song Omnimaga since this is where I got the inspiration from.

It uses 9 tracks in all, 3 of them being midi tracks that I composed.
All of the synthesizers were done by Sytrus.

It's sort of large (13MB!) so it may take awhile to open.

That's insane resolution! :lol:bounce2.gif
I do engineering CAD at work and the lcd screens that are there aren't even that large.
You must be using a CRT monitor. (I don't think lcd screens even come in that size)

It can read almost all tracker-based music formats and MIDI and export as all those and also  Wave and MP3 formats.

Cool! I've never used tracker-based music before. Exporting to MP3 is definitely a nice feature to have. It seems like most programs would do that, but you'd be surprised the number that don't (Guitar Pro for example)

I'll have to check this out. Sounds like it could speed up the process of creating drumbeats.

K. It's a good thing I didn't post a link then  :Ptongue.gif
(I wasn't going to anyway because the site has a tenancy to display some not so appropriate adds without an addblocker installed)

That's an insane amount of shortcuts on the desktop. %)rolleyes2.gif

I like the blur effect when the menu overlaps the icons.
Is that genuine Vista or an awesomely skinned XP?

Dang, what resolution is that? 3000 x 1000  :Ptongue.gif

Did you use a Keygen to register the product?
I can provide a link to one if you like. (i just don't want to get in trouble)
Fl Studio can be downloaded using Ares. (that's how I got it.)

If you register the product correctly using a Keygen, you will have the real thing.

Just to clarify, none of these products are meant to be free, but with a Keygen they can be free.  ;)wink.gif

Congrats to you as well!
There wouldn't be a Bowling if it weren't for your games :Ptongue.gif Seriously.
I think it was Reuben Quest that got me interested in programming.

Sweet! Are those all in midi?
There's some pretty complicated music going on there.

Dark side of the moon is Awesome! :king:king2.gif

http://www.2shared.com/file/2292686/73917670/beatz.html that I've been working on lately. It starts after about 5 seconds, so just be patient.
I'm using Acid Pro and Sytrus (a vsti plugin)

Just letting you know I'm still working on it, so that's why it will stop so abruptly :Ptongue.gif

Acid Pro, Logic, Cubase, FL Studio just to name a few. Logic might be difficult to download though.

The rest can be obtained from either 'demos' or as updates.
Just use a key generator to register the product and you have a fully functional music creation program.

Personally I use Acid Pro because it's the easiest to figure out how to use.
FL Studio is basically all eye candy, but it does have some cool features, that is if you can figure out how to use them.
(I couldn't figure out how to get the darn thing to even play :Ptongue.gif)
Cubase is another difficult one to figure out.
Logic I am unsure about as I have never used it. But apparently it is one of the best.

Native Instruments makes some nice programs such as Traktor, Reaktor, and Kompact, but I think you still need a 'main program' in order to fully use those tools.

Oh I almost forgot, Guitar Pro can be useful at times. I find that the visual music note editor is convenient especially when trying to get those drum and bass beats to midi.

Of course there are countless others such as Garage Band and Finale, but I'm trying to save you some time by naming the best. At least from my experience.

Here's the link to http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/download/step2.asp?DID=662.
Now just Google a key generator. (I'd get in trouble if I showed you where to find one.)
