TI-Nspire / Re: Nspire audio?
« on: June 14, 2012, 07:25:05 pm »
Next month I'll start trying it by serial->arduino->old computer internal speaker then I'll post here some results.
And since I don't have experience with C on the nspire I'll use the Lua print() function to send the tunes in some format, the sound is going to be monophonic which would be enough to have some sound in GB games.

Does anyone knows or believes it TI is making any software targeted on linux machines?

I just tested the downgrade in my own nspire: I had 3.1, installed 3.2, then installed 3.1 back and ndless again.
That all went fine.

Site Feedback and Questions / Re: Add "Calcs Seen" field
« on: May 15, 2012, 04:42:33 pm »
That might be a nice idea.

In my case, the field will be more or less equal to DJ_O's Calcs Owned field.
mine too, but it'd be nice anyway

This is great! This way I can check the time during an exam! YAY! :D

Next: making gbc4nspire to use the RTC (used by games such as pokemon, I think)...

I've tryed mandriva, ubuntu, open suse and several other distros no so known and I stick with ubuntu, because it's plain easy and has got the biggest userbased community which provides an excelent support.

that's a great idea and the blending is also great, I wasn't fooled because I am studying engineering and I didn't though it could be feasible in such a small size and with the battery power of the nspires despite there are some new mobile phones with the pico projector and similar battery packs I wasn't seeing TI introducing this to calculators this fast... And after all TI would make it big so it could look expensive and sell it around 400US$.

EDIT:
and me for the photoshopping of the photo (was originally a navigator wifi plug ;) )
That's what I though ;)

I do believe in this :D this is another point in history! How easy can it be to use BSD drivers without changes?

I knew it was a bad idea to make it too realistic ... =(
Don't be sad about that... anyway that's a great idea, maybe someday TI will grab it and make this "mini-Presenters" to offer teachers giving nspire formation...

But yes, maybe if some technical drawings instead of the (great) rendering were shown maybe you could fool me :P

Good job, thanks to the team of makers! :D

yeap :D when I got an arduino I'll start doing that, in the meanwhile I've got much more to do :P

But me/we could start doing the nspire part as it's always possible to test with a computer linked to the nspire at 115200 baud.
It shouldn't be that difficult and is a starting idea... It's always good to have an objective when learning a new language.
