hey everyone. i like fell out of programming over the summer. too much shit to do. but now schools back started and i use my calculator more so im getting back into the groove of things. i see all these new games and stuff that were over the summer. thats cool :) but yea im back and ready to kick some programming ass.

Googl Earth Flight Simulator with 3D Buildings. thats all i need to say for any one who is bored and wants to crash into the Taj Mahal, the Eiffel Tower, or any other big building that seems fun to crash into on a flight simulator.
No, but seriously this flight sim thing is FUN! it takes a while to get the controls (please read the controls first or else you wont be able to fly very good)
I still have yet to land in an airport.

I used basic builder, and it was pretty easy, but I dont know how to get it into an app... it just outputs a .hex file

??? is there a site with REALLY good asm tutorials? cuz i tried asm in 28 days and asmguru, but i just couldnt get it. I like having example programs to see why the code works and some examples to show it, not just how it works and "go make it urself my tut doesnt need to give n00bs like u ex. prgms!!!"
I didnt really finish asmguru, but i learned practically NOTHING for 28 days ::)! I learned more from the example program that comes with OTBP++ than I learned anywhere else! I either need a personal tutor, or a really good tutorial.
Some specs:
>I usually use OTBP++ (its oncalc) but I have used TASM once because i couldnt find a download link to SPASM.
>The only programs I ever made was a hello world one a couple of times and i tried to make a DCS header but i dont know how.

I need help  :'(. Some of you might see me as a n00b, but that really wont help make me 1337 like you  :P. anyone that might be able to help, I love you  :-*.

Split from scripts and code snippets- simplethinker

During one of my famous random examinations of random objects of mine, I came to notice that my cell phone's headphone plug (which is smaller than normal headphones) and my TI-84 SE's I/O cable plug were THE SAME SIZE!!!!
I then came to have one of my famous LIGHTBULBMOMENTS!!!TM, and examined that one could program an app for the cell phone, that can access programs and files from the interweb, create programs with an IDE, or just transfer programs and files from the calc to the phone!! It could send data to where the headphones would be, but instead, the calculator recieves it and reads it and loads it to its memory!!!
But here's where I'm stuck: I don't know what language cellphone apps use, or how to program anything but BASIC or ASM.
If anyone helps, I love you  :-*
I would definitely pay 3 dollars for an app like this!!!

General Calculator Help / Unable to send Joltima to my calculator

I have been trying to freakin get jotima on my calculator for OVER 3 MONTHS!!! everytime i try it, either ticonnect says that my calculator doesnt handle this type of file (it IS .8xp for my ti84!!) or it just wont work!! im REALLY pissed right now because im just tired of trying to get it! can ANYBODY help me get it, because I really want to play it because i hear its really good!

TI Z80 / Twist

I am now working on a project called Twist. So far it is entirely basic, and i have everything running up to the main menu... and that's where I stopped.
I am in need of ideas for a game!!!
I can't think of anything... any help would be GREATLY appreciated, for if I finish this, it will be my first finished and released TI-84+ SE game (or any .8xp calculator)
If you do help, the ideas must fit the title, so don't have propose me making a paper football game named Twist, or a tetris game either (there's  too many tetris games anyways)
Until then, I will just be perfecting the beginning part.
Please, I am in desperate need of ideas!!! I guess this is the TI version of a writer's block...

Intro: 100%
Main Menu: 99% (maybe need to change the options)
Load Screen: 99% (maybe need to add or remove some variables)
Game Engine: 80% (displays text numbers on the graph screen for gems, and checks for 4 in a line OR MORE. has gravity, to pull down gems after the ones below get removed. rotating, score bar, level up, and more gems when you level up some. no finding crossing lines yet. planning on implementing that when you get 4 in a row, you get 4 gems to your 'money', and later i will make that however many gems in a row you had)

more organized display? like a fall or rotate animation maybe?

There is a great site,, which has a thing where you make the scores yourself, using the instruments you want.

It features:
Layers - you can organize the instruments
Forums - post your music!
Sections - you can creat the music for a section then create a new one and put them in order when the song is done, you can even use a section twice if you dont feel like copying it down again
Treble and Bass Clefs
Tutorials and "Tip of the Day"
and alot more...

Has anyone here played the game blockland? It is a very fun game and I know that Cemetech has a Blockland files section, so i thought that we could create one. I only have the demo version and have been looking through the internet looking for good add-ons, but already have most of the good ones.

Blockland features:
Building stuff
Pong (made of bricks)
MIDI sequencer (bricks)
Scripting (mapmaking, weaponmaking, vehiclemaking, etc.)
Programming brick events
Multiplayer servers (full version ($20))
Multiseat car with turrets and whatnot (need full version to have more than one player in it)
Hidden areas in maps
Downloadable add-ons
and more...

I think that you all would like it if you dont already have it and we could put files into the blockland section for others to use and we could form an omnimaga server just for omnimaga members

I have been scheming to make a supercomputer out of bricks that is capable of RGB screen and ram memory (but i need full version, demo has 150 brick limit), and I was inspired while playing Illusiat (i wanted to make a Ti-83, but then decided to go beyond that) and that reminded me of Omnimaga and I came and typed up this post.

ASM / OTBP++ errors

if anybody here has ever used OTBP++, do you know how to fix these problems:
it doesnt work with lowercase
whenever it sets up, at about 35% it errors and stops. i have never been able to use it, but i have seen the screenies and read reviews, so before i scrap it, is there:
a fix for my error(s)
a better oncalc assembler
a list of errors (mine is error 14)
a cure for my OCD
