Escape:
Pros: A very fun and an overall good puzzle game.
Cons: It's been done before, and it could use more polishing.
Thanks, but I also thought it didn't look that polished.  :(  What do you suggest?  (Noticing AXLE is VERY polished.  ;))
TBH, I couldn't find a whole lot wrong with it.  I was thinking maybe some character animations or something.

Alright, I've played all of the games and I'd like to give my thoughts.

Spacky Emprise:
Pros: Good running animation.
Cons: Enemies falling from the ceiling were annoying.

AXLE:
Pros: I made it.
Cons: I made it.

Fancy Pants Adventures World 1 Demo:
Pros: The physics were very nice.
Cons: It sometimes felt a bit unresponsive and was difficult to tell where you were going.

Nymless Demo:
Pros: The concept is original.
Cons: There's not a whole lot to do yet.

Stick Ninja: It didn't work on my calculator.

Escape:
Pros: A very fun and an overall good puzzle game.
Cons: It's been done before, and it could use more polishing.

Tag:
Pros: Original, very polished, lots of levels.
Cons: Controls felt a bit slippery at times.

Dimension Shift:
Pros: Original and good graphics.
Cons: It's a bit difficult to select things in the menu.

Easy Game: The name says it all.

Cube Droid:
Pros: Very nice looking graphics and an overall great port of the flash game.
Cons: Not too many levels.

Overall the games were very good. :)
Spoiler For shameless self promotion:
Might I point out the excellent level design in AXLE?

Wow, these game are looking great!

Wait, stickninja crashed your calc? sorry guys....haha
It won't let me play. It just takes me to a map made up of random parts of RAM. :(
There's something wrong with the menu.

It's finished!
------------------------------------
(taken from the README)

AXLE is a platformer for TI-83+ calculators created in the Axe programming language.
It can be run through the DoorsCS shell (http://www.ticalc.org/archives/files/fileinfo/430/43068.html).

There are four stages that must be traversed through:
-Razor Forest
-Underground Acrobatics
-Pipeline Plummet
-Myriad City

Orbs are collected on the way. 100 orbs gives the player an extra life.
+ signs give the player health.

There are two types of enemies:
-Stompers
-Treads

Both are very nasty and can be destroyed by being jumped on.

---Controls---

Left and Right Arrows: Move Left and Right
Up Arrow:    Enter Door
2nd:           Jump
Mode:         Pause
Clear:          Exit

News / Re: Omnimaga 2011 Programming Contest, Part #1: Axe Parser
« on: July 15, 2011, 09:01:33 am »
I'm detestably going to have to drop out.  I'm sick in bed right now with a horrible headache and too hazy to work on this until it's too late, I just found my calculator the other day after someone stole it, and my sister has to use it 8 hours a day while she's taking a math class over the summer.  Sorry.

I dropped out upon figuring out that tilemapping damages my brain.

I already expected a lot of people giving up, but I hope it's not too many.
My game is done! :)

So is your entry finished? That would be great! :D Also, a level editor for external levels would be a nice addition(perhaps when the contest is over ;)).
It's pretty much done. I just need to make some final touches.
As for a level editor, that would be more difficult. I'll post a link to the final editor after the contest, and it can be used in conjunction with the source code to make custom levels. :)

I've finished designing all four levels, and the game weighs in at over 19,000 bytes. :o

Not at all, I'm telling you to stay away from the drama if you don't like it. So don't post in threads like this and stick to the ones about programming if that is all you are here for.
(This will be my last post in this thread, I promise.)
I would really just prefer if we didn't have these sorts of threads to begin with. All they do is spread negative vibes throughout the community and make everybody angry. They also do not belong in a community "free of hostility", because they are being hostile to those who are hostile to us! In the words of Mahatma Ghandi, "An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind." We are blinding ourselves by doing this.

The best way of stopping this sort of thing is to ignore it.

I didn't come here for drama. I came here to program, and I'd like it if we could please just stick to that subject.
If you didn't come here for the drama then stay away from it.
Are you telling me to leave Omnimaga?

Humour and Jokes / Re: Racist e-mail (Canadians be warned, eh)
« on: June 30, 2011, 09:25:42 am »
I wouldn't say that this is racist. Canadian isn't a race; it's a nationality. Sure, it's poking fun at Canadians, but racist is a bit of an extreme word to describe it. If that was the case, then every Michael Moore movie making fun of America would be racist. :P

I'll do whatever I can to help. I'm not so great at assembly, and I could use a lot more experience with hardware, but I can do SOMETHING. (Maybe a battery indicator light or something.) :P
