Yeah I notice that sometimes when I have to rewrite some code. I usually find a better/faster/smaller way to write it. good luck

Something terrible happened... I tried to use simplethinker's string -> matrix  asm program, and it gave me a ram clear. A ram clear wasn't too bad, since I had TLM progress in the group, but then I found out that it disabled my usb linking port. I could not back up my files, because my calculator would not connect to the computer. I had to clear all of the calculator's memory, and I lost all my progress :(
Good thing, tho, is that I have some pieces of engine codes lying around my room, so if I find them, it shouldn't be too hard to rewrite them on calc.
Ouch, sorry to hear that. Couldn't you have ungrouped it and just coppied it down to paper? Hope it works out though.

TI-BASIC / Re: Pxl-On troubles

Hmm yeah it probably has to do with your variables then. Maybe the algebra is wrong or something, although from what it looks like, it seems fine. Good luck with finding out the bug

Well what ever you're getting out of Str1 is going to only be 1 character long, so if Str2 is longer than 1 character, then it will never be true

Is A your X or your Y Variable? Because Pxl is (X,Y) I believe, while Pt is (Y,X). or vice versa, i can't remember exactly

*trevmeister66 is sad to see this halted.

Hopefully you find some inspiration and work on this soon. I really like what you've done with simple dual layer ascii.

axe is simply amazing... The possibilities are endless, and it's only the early stages. I cant wait to see a beta release!

I'd say switch to 4. I think the decrease in size and/or speed outweigh having the option to play with 6 people.

The Axe Parser Project / Re: Axe Parser

Wow, this language looks powerful! And also very different from the Basic that I remember. I see that it's still pretty early in development though, so how much is the syntax going to change over the coming months? Should I start learning how to use it now, or should I wait for it to stabilize a little more (or is it already fairly stable)?
Either way I can't wait to get my hands on this :D
From what I've seen, it's pretty stable. I don't know if you've seen some of the games made already by Axe, but you can do a lot already in the early stages of this program.

And if you really want to see some magic with dual layer text sprites, check out Serenity. I just revisited that sub forum for the first time in a long time, and I'm still amazed by what Builderboy has done.

Introduce Yourself! / Re: hello! i am new!

I think both parties need to simmer down a bit, and just let this go. There's no need to start a big mumbo jumbo argument. Yeah, some bad things were said, but let's just let it go, alright?

There are a LOT of must play games for the 84+ SE, and I mean a LOT. What type of games are you interested in? Arcade / RPG / Action / simple / etc. The platform you have, has it all.

That's a weird bug though. I don't see why it would work the 2nd or 3rd time, but not the first.

Just testing out the commands.
Axe 0.1 still throws out random errors when parsing.
Is this still supposed to happen?
Are you sure its a random error? Or does it have something to do with your source?
