Hmm thank's for letting us know that DJ. I'll have to check all the sub forums to see if I've missed anything.

For your enemy movement, I was thinking maybe you could just do a border around all possible spaces. This way you can still see the terrain, but it should make identifying the enemies movement capabilities easier to see.

Have fun on vacation!  Oh, and if you bring your calc, bring extra batteries! ;D
Heh I've made that mistake too many times.

Aside from these programs, a new download section has opened up on Omnimaga: Calculator Videos! This section will contains all Omnimaga calculator videos created over the years, ranging from tributes to calc programming to footage of calculator games, such as the Youtube TI-83 Plus BASIC RPG Nostalgia Serie. This section, however, requires a forum account.
Now that is awesome. I can't wait for this to expand.

TI-BASIC / Re: Extra/Hidden Characters
« on: March 07, 2010, 03:29:18 am »
nice you made it run quite fast. I had a similar prog but it was slow x.x

Builderboy has a Java one too

I think I should put them in the archive...
Thanks :) I got really tired of either trying to guess a combination, or repeatedly testing combinations while I was programming, so I decided to end it once and for all. Also, I believe all of those characters are ones you can get on the calc without an asm program.

Is this screenshot a picture of when you hover over the enemy or select them during your turn or something?

Very nice. I really like that status screen. It's simple yet dynamic, and it has everything you need to know.

Nice stuff. About how many unique or different maps will there be? Also, will there be any bonuses for terrain (like +1 Def if on a mountain?)

TI-BASIC / Re: Extra/Hidden Characters
« on: March 06, 2010, 10:52:15 pm »
So I was looking around and did a couple searches but couldn't find anything. But I was curious what the best way to obtain the hidden/extra/special characters is or are. I'm sure there are multiple ways. Also, is there anyway to do it so it remains a BASIC program so other calcs can run it without getting these characters too and such.
I think its best to look up a program on Ticalc (or even here, under the archives) and download that. There was this basic program that let you choose any of the hidden characters, but i forgot what the name was :(

aaah ok I see. It might be hard for me to understand all of these, but I am starting to get it now. Thanks a lot for your help.

Btw my program now works. I am not sure if it's faster or slower. If it's slower, the slow down is sure hard to notice, though. However, 811 bytes is much better than the 1546 bytes my other compiled program took. Still a bit large compared to the source (653 bytes for old program and 313 for new one) but a big improvement.
Nice DJ. An improvement is an improvement, no matter how small or big.

Wow Zera, you continue to amaze me. Great animation, and I can only imagine what the actual game play will look like.

Also, I love all the spells/abilities.
