News / Re: Casio Prizm FX-CG10 released
« on: January 06, 2011, 09:32:25 pm »
very true. after all, if you have a game like Jump! on your calculator on that speed, you'd likely need to carry around a bag full of batteries(not that most of us don't carry around extras anyway)

EDIT: also, another worry is the LCD. that could break if you push it too hard.
You don't carry an extra bag of batteries with you!?  O.O
of course not, but a few(a set) stay in my backpack at all times.

Casio Calculators / Re: Casio Prizm - What is it?

* z80man decides to add a liquid cooling system to his Prizm
nice, but think about how you'd carry it around. it'd be so bulky that you couldn't fit it in a pocket anymore.

Axe / Re: SirCmpwn's Sprite Editor

this looks great, especially the intro. As SirCmpwn said, the grayscale is a little slow on the editor, but that doesn't really matter. I'm hoping for the source.
EDIT: ok. I'll remember that---------------^
thanks for the source. I don't have a connect utility at the moment while I wait for my laptop to come.
I'm resorting to SourceCoder and manual typing.

I like this entire RPGish level system. I am now actually taking more interest on this forum because of the unique style.

Official Contest / Re: [BULLETIN] Cage Matches

I would join the list of contestants if I weren't incapable of doing anything other than 1) worrying about upcoming finals(I might get a Prizm if I get A's on all of them), 2) Waiting for a new laptop(finally windows, and with it, TI Connect and Wabbit), and 3) trying to work on my RPG game but failing due to 1 and 2

woo! Facebook. Very happy about this. I always seem to miss the important stuff until a week afterwards. This time, I was distracted by the demos that came with axe. Sadly, even though I had a cemetech tab open, I missed the calculator posting. I missed the facebook by a few days. Anyway, I'm back(for now)

Sorry if I'm a little offtopic

TI Z80 / Re: YEONG RPG(HALTED UNTIL AFTER EOC)
« on: January 06, 2011, 08:32:14 pm »
I'm happy this is making some progress. This is one of the programs I'm seriously tracking(besides Contra), so I'll be happy when it comes out.

No pressure, though.

good to see that you have that stuff back, as most of it looked really good.

This is very cool. I knew it would somehow be possible, but I never expected it so soon. Anyway, nice job KermM

no, the ! is not a factorial. Else i would be ludicrously smart.

My name comes from my obsession of walruses. the turiq is just because I thought it sounded walrus-ish at the time

Other Calculators / Re: SirCmpwn's Projects Suspended

I get mediocre grades, for the record.  I just don't care enough to do homework.  I ace all my tests, though.
absolutely same here, except that my parents don't take away my calc. The worst they've done is an accidental RAM clear(they dropped it and the batteries flew out).
at that point, I hadn't even started on programming.
