Well, would any one be upset if we just pushed the end of the vote to now? I suggest we just take a pure sci-fi theme, and move on. We should try and tackle this quickly so it doesn't fall apart. We know it is going to be an rpg...so to get our project rolling lets finish fleshing this out. If any one else wants to propose a story, go ahead:

Story and title proposal:
title:Cold Tides
story: after the day of black rains, a lot of the people died. We heard reports it was a mercury based toxin...but nobody seems to know how that could be. Well, the survivors pulled together and have been living in this small outpost ever since...we have a few air ships but only a handful of steam suits. Well, the good news is I managed a test job with the north eastern mercinaries, I'm not going to get much more than a stripped down unit, but I should be able to get enough to pay for mom and sis to get better medical treatment. Hell, I may be able to afford to get an eye replacement some day...

Story Synopsis: the empire attacks your outpost and kills everyone including your mother and sister, you pilot steam suit mecha, fight the empire in their main offensive then move to destroy the rest of them and learn they are just one of many military fronts for a giant group who were the ones responsible for the black rain and all of the murder and it would cliff hang there, Suits have steam as a power source, and their are advanced mechinical devices and derigibles. Or not, post your own ideas too.

My story is as follows.

Year - 2205

The colony station based off of Saturn IV has lost contact. Not a big suprise, as this happens alot. Still they send a ship, of which you are commander, to investigate. Once you jump to [hyperspace, subspace, whatever you wanna call it] you can't recived comm's, so you relax, ect. When you come out, about a hour away from the station, your home station (Earth?) raido's you to tell you that comms are back up, but they arn't getting any response. You dock to investigate, and find the station completly empty. No dead people, no blood, just empty. You search for awhile, and eventually find a little piece of paper with a poem written on it that is short, but deadly in message. At that point, you see your ship flying away, not in any direction, but with full thurster. It slams into an asteroid and explodes. You then are left on the station, trying desperatly to find what happened to the people, and to save yourself.

The rest of the plot is kinda open, I should have more tommrow-ish.

to katsmaster: yes, we are making an 83+ project with xlib, and we may end up porting it to other platforms as well...maybe not.

here's my proposal of storyline:

Name: Final Fantasy: Darkness Ressurection

Plot:(just a start)
In the year 3000, there lived the greatest soldier ever. He was the master of killing, but unfortunantly, he was a renegade of the Alliance of Darkness. He was the worst threat to peace in the United Alliance, and had to be taken down...
One day, they set a trap for him, tricking him into an open glade and then overwhelming him with 100 soldiers. He was killed, but the body was never found.
A secret lab department of the United Alliance stole the body from the battlefield. They had been experimenting in creating cyborgs and this was the ultimate first test. They took the body and inserted mechanical peices where the regular body parts wouldn't work, then they put him in a stasis celll to await his recovery. Unfortunantly, the lab was raided by the Dark Alliance and all the scientists were slaughtered, luckily they didn't know about the statis cell and that was the only thing left...
24 hours later, the cyborg finishes reanimation...The stasis door pops open and he steps out. All memory lost....no idea who he is....not sure how he got there...but only sure of one thing, he is alive and he'll find out who he is...

Thats about a start, i know it sounds pretty crappy, but please consider it. Feel free to modify and part of it, (the names suck cause i came up with it in like 2 secs.), anyone wanna add on?

All of those are pretty good. Yeah, I voted for RPG - Fantasy, but a Sci-Fi ones ok too.

Sounds good..now we need to agree on a storyline. I would recommend notifying all staff to post their storylines in a seperate topic and then have a new poll to decide on it. Maybe by next weekend put up the poll??

three days to submit...one week was way to long for the voting, and if I do it at the same speed we will have spent 3 weeks deciding on a story...
