I think what CMG meant is when their profile pic was supposed to represent how they said they looked. That's how I interpreted it.

...then you start playing with it like a cleverbot and telling it stupid stuff, then you realize the bot is preprogrammed to always say the same stuff independently of whatever you wrote, so it sounds stupid and awkward.

Pretty much... this applies to dating sites mostly.  Shit happened to me twice.  One was a 35 year old that looked like a gorilla with an overbite.  The other one was a 24 year old that looked like the result of an experiment where someone took Beavis & Butthead's faces and smashed them together.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not shallow by any means, I would just preffer people were honest about themselves.  Cause everyone has different tastes in what they find attractive in a person as far as looks go.  And I did give them a chance anyways, but unfortunately, their personalities in person were drastically different from how they were online/texting, so it made things worse =/

I get these all the time on AIM, MSN, & Yahoo.  i just block them and eventually the messages stop :P

I could just write a similar program in Game Maker or z80 Basic/Asm/Axe or 68k Basic/C.
