Other Calculators / Re: Getting a cx
« on: March 12, 2014, 03:28:27 pm »
I think I understand.  If a cx is after hardware revision "I" then it is capable of running the boot 2 that is required for ndless.  So if a calc has an os below 3.2.4 it can for sure run ndless (but boot 2 may need to be reflashed).  I wonder what hackish thing TI had to pull off to make ndless boot2 not run but later boot2's run.  ??? <_<   Anyway... thanks again!

Hello I feel a bit stupid for asking this but how do you get images to show up in your userbar?  It was showing just fine before the site update and now (after the website update) it is not working and is showing the html code instead...  <_<

Here is the code I am trying to use.  (Also in my signature.)

Thanks for your advice! I will get a non cas cx then and make sure it is between hardware revisions A-I.  (I have an arduino so I can reflash boot 2 if the calc comes with os 3.6).

One more question.  If the calc has os 3.2 or lower I can also assume that it is between hardware revisions A-I right?

I was wondering if this was still being worked on because it is really cool and I would love to use it (probably lots of others too).  :/

Hello everyone!

I was thinking of buying a used cx (non-cas) and then putting the cas os on it using ndless and nlaunch.  I do need the cas os but I also want to have a ordinary cx so that I could still take a class from teachers who prohibit cas's (I have a sense of pride so I won't use it to cheat on a test. ;) ).  So my question is is this a good idea?  I do not want to have to have two nspire calculators (one cas and one non-cas).  Has anyone done this kind of thing before?

I hope my question makes sense.  :/

This is looking great!  I had once tried to create something very similar to this but I couldn't quiet figure out how to optimize something then I lost the motivation and some things in school came up....  Anyway great job so far.

5628: Every time you go to omni you check for an axe parser update. (true 100% of the time for me   ;D)
5629: You can name with trying the first 16 powers of two. (true)
5630: Sometimes you program on your calc in your bed and then fall asleep mid-programming.  (not sure how many times this has happened to me  :P)
5631: You constantly surf the web and omnimaga for calculator modifications.
5632: You spend the extra time during passing periods between classes to program on you calc.
5633: If you had a dollar for every ram clear you would have enough for at least two more calculators.

General Calculator Help / Re: Tilp calculator backup corrupt
« on: October 11, 2013, 10:04:19 am »
calculator: TI-84 plus SE

gfm version: 1.03
tilp version: 1.16

I used "directlink" (the usb cable that came with the calc)
I have the 2.55MP os version (I think that is the latest but I am too lazy to look)

One more thing that I should mention.  I run tilp in linux.  When I extracted the files using gfm all programs were fine (not axe paser backups) and even the axe parser application.  Although,  I could not open the groups with gfm or TiConnect (on windows) but I could transfer them using TiConnect (not tilp).

I posted the only group file that I really care about.  (It is my first "real" axe parser program.  :))

EDIT: added the wrong file  ;D

General Calculator Help / Tilp calculator backup corrupt
« on: October 10, 2013, 11:21:27 pm »
Hello I a while ago I had to take a test test required no programs on my calc so I did a tilp full backup and then did a full reset.  Using group file manager I can open the ti backup file but every group and appvar seems to be corrupted  <_<

So my question is have I lost everything that I had saved as groups or is there a way to recover the data?  If so is hard is it to do because it may not be worth it.

Thanks ahead of time.

(Please move this topic if posted in the wrong section.)

5602: You prefer to program on a calc out of the novelty of having less ram and more of a challenge.    ;)
5603: if you were to choose between your calc and your phone to give away the hard part of the decision would be to find your phone.
5604: You talk in your sleep about TI-OS's slow routines.  ;D

That is an incredible 3d printer .  Although, it seems that it would print really slow.
