Alrighty.

Well, the good news is that RecordMyDesktop doesn't noticeably impact my performance, which is good.
Bad news is, it's not picking up the Minecraft sounds.... Meaning the videos would be rather quiet.

So if epic can record, that would be great, otherwise I can. Is 8 alright for everyone? It's a 2 person map, but I think having more people would make it more fun, and I think 3 would be manageable. (Not like when we had 6 people running to separate corners of the world all at the same time...)

If you're going to be available and have some free time, please hop on both the Minecraft and Mumble servers to ensure everything works for you guys. If you need the info for either server again, let me know.

I'm going to test out RecordMyDesktop and see how badly that impacts my performance.

I just finished my application, so I'm available just as soon as I load the map on the server and set up Mumble on Ubuntu. Are you able to do video recording, or should I look for some software?

Anyone else get Minecraft for XBox?
No, cuz I don't have an Xbox. I did mention it's release to my friend, though. I wanna get him hooked... >:D

So, what time are you guys available today? I'm trying to fill out a job application right now, but I *might* be available around 8pm.

So I was exploring the Nether on Juju's server and I got lost.
When I finally found my way back, I noticed I'd lost a few things... Namely my ears and one of my arms. :P

I haven't yet installed an emulator on my Ubuntu install, but I just finished installing TiLP and backing up all my programs, so I hope to have some eye candy soon.

I was getting a bit worried since TI-Connect wasn't working on my Windows install, and TiLP never really did either. But it's working on Ubuntu, so it's all good. I can backup again! :P

Why not try using DuckDuckGo for the site search?

It has a site parameter, and protects your privacy more than Google or Bing. They also don't seem to mind it being used for site searches:

I've made some more progress on the framework of the battle engine, but I unfortunately don't have a screenie right now.

I'll try to either boot back into Windows and use TI-Connect, or install TiLP in Ubuntu, so that I can get the programs backed up on my computer and get that screenie for you guys.

Most of the menus in the battle engine are currently functional, and turn switching also works. I'm going to be implementing damage and items next, before moving onto re-evaluating the turn queue when someone dies. Animations will be coming last, which allows me to focus more on the important stuff.

I realize I haven't posted much recently, and I'm going to do my best to remedy that.

It means that people who've pirated Minecraft, or haven't bought it can join the server.

I'm gonna have to say no, though. I really don't want to put the server in offline mode, but as soon as you can join online servers, let me know and I'd be more than happy to whitelist you.

I ended up having to stop the server and replace the world, because I couldn't do anything thanks to all the lag. But it suprisingly didn't crash my Minecraft or comp, so all's well that ends well, I guess.

I just got around to dual-booting Ubuntu 11.10 on my laptop, and I've got most all of my drivers setup, albeit a few glitches. For example, my wireless headset's volume is a little low, and my printer will only print after I've opened and closed the ink tray. :P

Other than that, it's working great! I've actually been using an Ubuntu theme on my Windows 7 install since forever, so it's nice to finally use the real thing.

Alrighty. I'll try loading it onto the server in the near future and let you know when it's up.

Sounds nifty. I'll look into getting it. Is it one of those 1.2.4 mods that works in 1.2.5? If not, then I'll see about backdating the server.
